Defiantly on our return to list , Jim the host was extremely helpful and the camp ground is exceptionally nice, They are in the beginning of rehabbing it , but the minor inconveniences are well worth the trip, If you plan on stopping there, take your boat too and stay a while , If your a senior ask for the senior package, You might want to ask if you can stay longer than the average stay, and try to get a bigger discount ...

This is a beautiful park very old. We had to leave after 3 nights due too flooding concerns. I moved up the hill to the North Abutment federal park and paid for fourteen days. I called state park too get my money back (500) they wanted too give me a voucher. I finally talked the lady into giving my money back. It took a lot of talking. Even though we are both disabled.

We were suppose to stay at Hugh White for two days on our way back to TN from Louisana. After driving 250 miles, we arrived to find roads blocked due to flooding. I finally found a third way in that wasn t blocked, only to find only three sites that could be accessed before hitting flood water yet again. And not just a road covered, but nothing but lake as far as you could see. I get this can t be controlled but a phone call to save a wasted 4 hour drive would have been the least that could have been done. I checked two buildings in the park, no one was there. I called the number and got nothing but a busy signal. So I m put a camp spot, out my money, and had to find a new place to stay for an additional charge. Not a happy camper, literally.
