We were here mid- May so there was only about a quarter of the capacity of the campground filled. The park is very well taken care of, clean, convenient and the staff is very friendly. We had a lakeside lot which had a fantastic view! The lake is shallow, so in warmer weather it has to be perfect for swimming! There is a boat launch in the park and fishing out in the deeper water. At the current time, there is only electric at the sites. However, the bathrooms and showers are very clean. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!
We enjoyed this park. Mostly used it for a base to explore the area. Very quiet. Well maintained and friendly workers. A lot of trees and shade and thus, mosquitos but that's a fact of camping.
We just got back from staying here. It was very nice. I would call this a medium sized campground with helpful staff. FYI they have several sites that are not reserve online. We reserved one then switched to a different site after arriving. I didn't give this one 5/5 because they didn't have a lot for older kids to do besides swimming in the lake and biking on roads through campground. They did have swings for little ones.
