| One of the family favorites

I have been coming here since I was a toddler and now take my own family. Try to go yearly. This campgrounds is model campground how to manage a private camp resort with clean amenities and attention to details. It's well staffed and one of the safest places I have been to. Great for kids, lots of swimming, fishing, canoeing, biking, hiking, etc available. One great touch is the dog park where your four legged kids can go and let off some steam. Overall just a great experience. I have zero complaints.

| Nice little campground on a small lake.

We spent Wednesday and Thursday nights at the campground. Was not crowded at all. People started coming in on Friday. It has a private lake that was very shallow by our camper. The fishing wasn't very good. They have a swimming lake with blow up toys for the kids to play on. We had a spot right on the water. Hosts and staff were friendly. We took the kayak trip on the Fox River. Three mile trip took 1 1/2 hours. The paddle across swan lake at the end was the best part. We only ate at the restaurant on the day we left. Food is pricey. Only a few items come with fries. So, expect to pay around $8-$9 for each meal. I had the two piece fish meal. It came with the salad bar but the pieces of fish were more like two small fish sticks. Very skinny. We bought firewood from the camp store. It was hard to get lit, and when we did, it was hard to keep it burning. The wood seemed to be dry, though. But for the price we paid to stay during the week, I think we got our money's worth. We also got groceries at the Piggy Wiggly in Pardeeville. Was not very affordable. $100 doesn't go very far there.
