This is a beautiful park with great facilities and lots to do. There is camping, backpacking, hiking, geocaching, swimming, boating, water skiing, scuba diving and fishing. Most campsites have good spacing from neighbors and some shade. There is lots of interesting geology. There is a food trailer and grocery store, as well as canoe, kayak, and pedal boat rentals. Campsites are in good shape and close to the water. It is a very popular park, so reservations are recommended for weekends and holidays. And make sure you know and follow all the rules, or the park police and/or host will be all over you!

Nice and well maintained State Park. Great sites to choose from with most being on or near the water. Several fishing piers and boat ramp, make fishing easy. Gift shop sales most basic supplies. Park attendant are very helpful and polite. Park is almost full most of the summer, so call early. 2 pm checkout is nice.

Nice layout - a lot of sites on the water. We've always had a good experience here and the Park Staff has always been friendly.

Price is right. Park is exceptionally well maintained. Lots of park hosts. Bathrooms good. Really, just a beautiful place. Trees tight on rig though. Takes experience backing in some spots.

$32 (with $5 per person.(2) texas state park daily usage fee. Spacious sites in a lovely location. We were only there for a quick overnight passing through, almost no other people in our area. You can come in after hours when staff is gone and self check in. The dogs loved it.

Clean, great lake, level sites, hot showers, Verizon 3-4 bars, and shade to boot. Room for rigs of all sizes and plenty of sites. We would gladly stop here any time. It's close to a lot of things including Longhorn S.P. don't miss the cave tour there. $35/ nite

Reason I am giving this park two stars as opposed to other who have posted; the lake and devils sink whole is amazing and really only reason I would ever go back. They only have 1 dump station for prob 100 camp sites so beware when leaving. The turn to get to the dump station is not easy if pulling a large rv. Also the park rangers and state police act like it’s NYC. Only run in I had was I parked prob 2 inches off my concrete slab and they thought it was the end of the world and I was killing there grass. Oh but yet the overflow parking was on there grass. They create more traffic around the camp site than campers do. I have been to many state parks on holiday weekends and they take it to the next level. Be afraid to breathe the fresh air wrong or they will be at your site. Ridiculous. They let way too many people in the park on holidays. Can’t drive anywhere and too many people. Think twice before booking here.
