We went out of our way to check out this new RV park. It may have an alias - The Cajun RVera. We went south from I-10 through Lafayette on the very worst bumpiest road we have ever taken our RV on. We had called ahead to see if we could check in early. And were told that they could not let us because they were full. We arrived to a completely empty park. A few scant rigs and over 200 empty spots in their gravel lot. Very barren. We chose this park because we wanted to host our grandson and let him stay with us and use the pool and snack bar and other amenities. We were disappointed that the pool was closed to the RV residents on certain days and during certain hours because it was open to the public. Very disappointing. Had to change all our plans. Then when we did get to use the pool, the snack bar was never open. On top of this, it rained and the gravel around our very narrow cement pad was no match for the muddy mess below it. Apparently, the local people can come in for a price and use the facilities also and young teens were there in the evening. That wasn't so bad but no one cleaned up after them and the pavilion and outdoor kitchen were left a mess. All in all, this was a disaster. We left early and will never return
Awesome place to stay, whether nightly or monthly, it s great! Amenities are great, staff friendly and always helpful, and lots of things to do. Historical sites, fishing, festivals galore, everything is available for a family outing. Great bands play here as well!
