Reviews for Isleta Lakes RV Park

| Nice RV stop

By user-6310721... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2013-09-23 to 2013-09-23

The casino is very close by. The staff was very friendly. The sites are level and nice. The only major drawback is that train that has to come by at 4, 6, 7...if you plan on sleeping in, oh well. Wear a pair of those soft ear plugs! Lol We would definitely come back though. We camped here in a travel trailer. The park store is well stocked and carries plenty of fishing bait.

Close to I-25. Followed GPS to campground. Fuel available right above park. Friendly staff. Do not take reservations but very open in February. Gravel roads & level sites. Lakes with fishing. Clean bathrooms but shower stalls with no private dressing area. Train stop right by park. We think it went to Albuquerque. Whistle didn't bother us. Will stay here again.

| Very nice stop

Enjoyed 5 days here over New Years, even tho for the most part it was cold. Very quiet despite trains which are small and gone quickly. Shuttle to casino is great. Casino is ok, though staff not overly friendly. Close enough to ABQ, even closer to the airport. Women in store friendly. Bathrooms and laundry clean, inexpensive! Had our grandchildren over for a few hours, thoroughly enjoyed seeing 3 Great Blue Heron and 3 eagles as we walked around the lake. Fishing permit is pricey, considering fishing is limited to their store hours. All in all, a very good stay.

We always stop here on our way North. Casino has shuttle from the park. RoadRunnner train to Sante Fe if you want...nice place to stroll after dinner..only drawback is the trains that run through on a regular basis. Diesel across the road so fill up is easy too. You can fish if you want for $, they also have tagged fish that are worth $$ if you catch on..

| Spacious sites and expensive

By user-5299160... on 2018-03-14.

The sites were beautiful. The WiFi worked pretty darn good. There’s a cable TV hookup. Each spot has a picnic table and a gazebo. Lots of shade. Fishing is expensive. The laundry room needs an update. The summer monthly rates were really expensive.

| Trains blow horn

it is a nice park, but if your object is to get some sleep, this isn’t for you. last train was at about 11 pm and the first train was at 5 am. also the casino shuttle wasn’t very prompt. we waited about 20 minutes both ways

| Great park

By user-5465260... on 2018-05-17.

This is a nice park with a nice view. Clean, large gravel sites with covered picnic tables. Nice lakes to walk and run your dog. Loved watching the bison in the evening being playful with each other. Stayed in motor home and did not unhook our tow car. Yes there are trains late and early but they didn’t bother us at all. We stayed just one night and would stay again.

| Nice CG

A little dusty as all sites are gravel. They are all FHU sites however. CG suited our needs just fine.

| Very Nice Stay

Spacious level sites that are easy to get in and out and full hook-ups. We were fortunate to get an end site by the lake and had a great open view and.plenty of space to walk the dog. Close to the train stop, but didn't bother us. Bathrooms and laundry were were clean. Located close to the freeway (I 25) which made it very convenient. Have stayed before and will stay again.

| Comfortable, clean with large, pull through sites.

Very much enjoyed our stay here. Staff is friendly and helpful. The sites are near a beautiful lake, we saw bald eagles, blue herons, geese and many other bird sightings. Great place for dog walking. Showers are clean, laundry is clean though closes at 4pm! Can definitely hear the nearby trains though not a real bother for us. Highly recommend.

| Good stopover

We've stayed here several times on our southbound run from snow in Jan or Feb. Never crowded, reasonably spacious FHU sites. Dusty becomes muddy when wet. Office closes at 5pm in winter so arrive before that. Guarded entry, casino shuttle etc. Pay for 2 nites and get 3rd free seems std in the winter. We're not casino people but plenty to do in ABQ.

Have you ever seen the movie My Cousin Vinny? You know the train coming through at 4am-5am-6-am? Yeah. The staff won t tell you that either. Other than that it s a decent place. Gravel sites with pull throughs. Full hook ups, shuttle service to the casino. No gun shots like you hear daily at the KOA.

Clean park, pull thru available. Staff was very helpful. KEEP Something Running to drown out train noise, it will pass More times than Not! No concrete pads dusty roads. Beautiful lil lake though with benches and fishing available.

| Pros and cons

By user-5485575... on 2019-08-09.

Stayed two weeks here. Like all reviews this reflects our experience. Pro's: nice setting, nice staff, well kept, and quiet except for the trains. Cons: trains early morning and late night, charged for guests who came to visit, little store more for fixing than camping supplies.
