Reviews for Itch-Kep-Pe City Park Campground

City campground with the Yellowstone River on one side and a golf course in the other AND free! Thank you citizens of Columbus. There are available public water spigots and outhouses...we did not use. The campground is very long, for more privacy keep on driving back a quarter mile. No hook ups or dump station but FREE. We are older and have a grandchild in tow, safety is important. The general feel was family oriented and the city police drove by twice during our 12 hour overnight. Highly recommend if you can be off the grid for a bit.

Water only one place-the local spicots weren't turned on. Roads are very bad - lots of potholes. Near a train tracks with trains all night. Also shooting all night. Very dark and lonely.

Can't beat the price. Gravel roads a little rough and dusty. Park nearly full with families for the weekend. Local police were keeping a eye on a questionable camp across from us.

Water at bathroom building when you first come in. There is a front and back campground. No power or sewer. Free for 10 days with donations accepted. Well patrolled. Fits our 40ft easy.

Lots of shade from huge cottonwoods, roads were good, large campground with lots of campsites, on the Yellowstone river. Well patrolled by the city police. Quite relaxing and we met some interesting campers there.

You can stay ten days within 30 day period. Dirt/gravel roads with some potholes, looks like they put some new gravel in this week on the road past the golf course. I stayed in a back space on the river in the first group of campsites. Loved the view. I work & had good enough ATT 4g service that videoconferencing was not a problem. It’s been nice, relatively quiet neighbors. Can hear the train but it’s not too loud. But you do hear generators as you walk around & the back area may have more locals that seemed to be partying. Campground has trash, vault toilets, fire rings & picnic tables but no other amenities. It was built & is maintained by donations. Thank you Columbus!

I stayed here last year and forgot to write a review. It is so nice to have an actual campground that is free and on the river. All the whining needs to stop. LOL
