We got off the ferry and came at 2 am. Found a spot and loved it so much we stayed 2 more days. Limited electric sites and water must be boiled but still great park . Rangers are friendly and helpful. Need provincial vehicle pass (not bad but if you stay more than 4 days in any NL or Labrador park buy the seasonal) in addition to site fee.
We stayed twice coming and going on the Newfoundland ferry. It's just a short hop from the ferry. The sites are well spaced and the staff friendly. There is an okay Foodland in Port aux Basques for shopping.
