Whoever mans the office at this RV camp never answers the phone. We tried for days to make a resevation. We ran out of time and went somewhere else. (Flamingo Lake, at 4X's the cost per day!)For a military RV park this place certainly doesn't exhibit the military efficiency we have experienced at all other military RV parks we've used. We are a military family, 38 ft RV plus toad. Don't count on getting into this park unless someone answers the phone.

| Pretty Nice RV Park directly on Lake

By user-5864838... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2017-03-07 to 2017-03-09

Stayed here for a couple of nights as guest of our daughter. This is a military RV park run by the National Guard. There is a museum outside the main gate with a small ( but worth going to museum) open to the public (Free). In addition to the indoor exhibits they have a nice collection of military vehicles and planes to view outside. The RV park is well maintained, clean and quite pretty. Basically it one road that makes an 'S" shape. The lower numbered sites are closer to the main road. The higher numbered sites are closer to the lake with most having full view of lake. Every site has E/W/S and a cement pad. Sites also have charcoal grill, fire ring and picnic table. If you are like us and are staying as a guest of a service member, the active duty member will need to register you on the guest list. Once that's done you can come and go through the main gate. We took a day trip and went over to St Augustine, it's 35 miles, a little less than an hour and very doable. If you go: bring fishing gear, your own horseshoes (nice pits but not sure where you would borrow shoes from) and be aware the closest Walmart is 22 miles away so pick up supplies before you check in.

Awesome campground. It's military so you need a sponsor for an annual pass.
