Spent one night and had a great experience. Appreciated the paved roads and cement pads and shade trees. Very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

One of nicest state parks we have been in and try to stay only in state or county patks. Lots of pull thrus n shade, welcome shade. Will stay here again if close enough.

| Nice park

This was our second stay at this park. Level concrete site with good power. Bugs at dusk as it is by the river. Some bats working on the problem. Beautiful location, close to Colorado natl monument. Lots of good wineries down the road at Pallisades. Most have free tasting.

| Terrible!

By user-5226729... on 2017-10-23.

Terrible, stay away...especially if you have small children. We had not one instance, but three, where a park staff slowly crept up on our RV and watched us and our small children, parked where they thought we could not see them, staring at us and not in a good way. Now we've stayed at multiple state parks throughout our journey and have never had an issue or a reason to write a review until now. We will be contacting someone with Colorado State park with our issues and how we were harassed and stalked around the park. All other reviews about the foul odor and excess amount of bugs is acurate. We will never return.

| Clean place, friendly rangers.

Bathrooms are clean, sites are very well maintained and the rangers are friendly. Relatively close to the highway so some traffic noise but not loud.

| Exceptional park

Very large & spacious full hook-up sites on level concrete pads with covered picnic tables & fire pits. Clean bathrooms. Very scenic with mature natural vegetation & lake & mesa views. The RV park across the road packs 4x as many RV's in the same size area. Within walking distance to restaurants & brew pub.

| Beautiful Park

Nice park right on the river, laundry facilities good and parking spaces well laid out. Nice fire pits and covered picnic tables.

| Six stars if you could swim

We stay here regularly. Friendly rangers! Beautifully maintained park treasure along the river with a large pond. Clean, newer bathrooms & laundry. This park is as nice as any calling themselves a resort but you have 4-5x the space. Nice for bird watching too. Thank you to those who work here & to our Park Service Rangers!

Wonderful! Paved spaces, laundry, and very clean showers ($1 for 4 minutes). Picnic tables at sites are shaded.

| Almost an excellent experience

level concrete pads, all paved interior roads, lots of space between pads, lots of trees, wonderful natural ambience, well managed state park facility. covered picnic tables, fire pits, good community amenities. only negative for me is "pay showers", one dollar for 4 minutes. you can buy an extra minute for a quarter. such a deal! used my shower and dumped my tanks. water conservation issue?
