Reviews for Jamestown Campground

| Very Nice Campground!

Well maintained park with squeaky clean restrooms. Roomy, level, shaded pull-thru lots. Easy access off I-94. Very friendly, helpful owners. Perfect overnight stay. Would definitely stay here again.

| Convenient to I94

Friendly, dirt road entrance ok if you drive very slowly. Call for directions unless you have a truckers GPS. Good one night stop.

| Nice property but......

By user-6004773... on 2017-10-23.

Nice sites. Lots of wide open space. Not too much freeway noise. BUT 1. The mile long dirt road to the campground is really dusty and is washboard. Your RV and toad will be covered in dust no matter how slow you drive. 2. The water is the worst we seen in 60 campgrounds. Hard water doesn't begin to cover it. 3. Lots of ticks for you and your pets.

Wonderful campground with lots of shade, large sites, and well kept grass areas. Very clean comfort station. Best part for us is the 3/4 mile walking/pet trail around the park. Our dogs loved the exercise and sniffs. If they venture into the tall grass, they'll pick up ticks, for sure. But there's no extra charge for the ticks.

| Good stopover

We decided to stop here for the night. Campground was fairly empty (off season) Long gravel road to get in but not too bad. Water pressure was fine and no issues with hard water. Perfect stop over spot.

Very nice park, big sites, shade trees and lots of grass. Only negative we found was the long, bumpy gravel road (the frontage road) that you have to travel to get to it.

| Perfect one night stop over as we head home to Ohio.

Nicely laid out sites. Extremely friendly staff. We had no problem using our new Garmin RV GPS to find the place. Some reviews mentioned GPS not able to locate the camp. Would definitely recommend this place to travelers.

| Ticked-off

By user-5009919... on 2017-10-23.

If you have dogs, DON'T stay at this campground. Yes, they have a pet walk all the way around the park, and it is mowed. But if you walk your dogs on it (even staying away from the tall grass) you will end up pulling multiple ticks off your dogs. Then, if you try to just walk around the park with the dogs on the leash, you get yelled at if they even step 1 foot onto the large grassy area behind the dumpster. And they're overpriced.

| Very nice place

Enjoyed our overnight stay. Restrooms nice and clean. Loved the huge shade trees after a hot day on the road. Easy on/off I94.

| Nice but expensive.

Very nice campground. Dirt roads and gravel sites. Grass everywhere. Kids playground. Shade trees all over. Excellent WiFi. 8 channels on cable. Just a bit expensive.

| Loved my stay

Very friendly staff. Pull through site had nice spacing, level. Lots of grass area. Extremely well maintained park. Reasonably priced ($34 with GS) Would definitely stay here again. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was bc the 1 mile County road (like most in this area) leading to the cg was gravel and dusty.

| Loved it

We really enjoyed this place - the owners were great and our 2 dogs loved running on the dog path with no leash. I did not find the water hard in fact I thought it was soft water. I agree with the other I would give it a 5 star except for the road.

If for no other reason than Lee and Dean we will stay again, GREAT HOSTESS and HOST. but also the park is clean ,well kept. Yes the road in is a little dusty? but remember you are in the west among large ranches .Asphalt is at a premium.

| Not really big rig friendly

Stayed at the park for 2 nights in our 40' motorcoach which is about the limit for size. If you had a 45' I think it might be too tight. Nice pull throughs, all gravel, a lot of trees near every site. Nice areas to walk the dog but there are restricted areas which I respect. One mile gravel road getting to park was all mud, not a pleasant drive. Far enough off freeway that traffic noise was manageable, Trains were in the distance, noise not too bad. Nice park with a few minor issues but not many other choices in area, I would recommend you stay here.

| Immaculate!

Stayed a week. Park is spotless. Nice dog walking area. About the Wi-Fi. We were at far end and still got around 80 mbps. Some of the reviews addresses the 1 mile dirt road, stating your truck and RV would get dusty. I would have welcomed a little dust!It has a dirt road that s about 1 mile long that is shared by a heavy equipment business. It rained that previous night and when we were leaving the next day it was mud up to our axles and that s no exaggeration! Almost got stuck! It took me about four hours to remove 6 of dried mud under the tire wells. Just be aware of the weather!
