We stayed overnight at the Passport America rate of $28 for off season. Nice park with small dog park. All hook-ups worked. Pretty wooded area.

We stayed over night on a Thursday, also got the PA rate of $28. All hookups worked well. Nice, clean quiet. No trees in pull-thrus upper campground. If staying longer would ask for shade and river side. I'd like to return. There's a canoe outfitting company near. Would like to try them.

| Fun place

This is family destination resort. Tons of kid activities. Large property so you may need to rent a golf cart if you are in the upper area (U sites). This is camping, not glamping. No concrete pads, no fancy landscaping, just a fun place that is a little rustic. Our site was just a spot on a huge grass field. Some need for better maintenance. Things look a little beat up. With better maintenance, this could be a 5.

Very nice CG with many things to do with children. Love the river side sites with full hook-ups. Upper section is open and wooded and lower section is mostly open. Beautiful views from either section. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Some basic shopping is down the road about three miles from CG and a Walmart is in town which is about 10-12 miles.

| Golf Cart Crazy

Overall this isn't a bad place. It's rustic and family friendly with lots of activities to keep kids occupied. The camp store was small without many necessities, but it was clean. All of the remaining outbuildings looked well maintained, but we didn't make use of any bathhouses. Our biggest complaint is the golf cart traffic. It is unchecked with drivers of all ages, including kids, and at all hours. There is less traffic in our subdivision at home. It detracts from the whole experience as you dodge carts anywhere you go. An accident waiting to happening. Level sites are difficult to find, so bring lots of blocks. For larger sites, choose the Upper Campground. And, leave the golf cart at home! Use your legs and get out of the camp chair!

| Lots of fun

The good: We had a blast on Memorial weekend. The staff was amazingly friendly and seemed to have a great time doing their jobs. There was a lot of different events to keep us occupied the entire weekend. We have a 4 and 6 year old and everything was great for them, even great for the older kids too. The pool got a bit busy, but there was a pond and slides as backup to fill the gap, always had somewhere to go without feeling too crowded. The bad: We showed up a few days before everyone else for the weekend, the sites were overgrown and a bit off putting. The gravel was freshly graded, which made it tough for a 4 year old to ride a bike. He managed, but wrecked a few times. He learned some good lessons though. The lots were eventually mowed/trimmed before the crowd showed up and everything looked great afterwards. The water pumps burnt up on day and we ran out of water for a bit, but the problem was solved within a few hours. I was able to fill my holding tank and survive while the system was fixed. The golf cart rentals were a bit overpriced at $75 a night. Maybe just due to the holiday, but it’s the highest we’ve ever seen. Overall: We had a great experience and will like consider another visit in the future.

| Dust bowl and small sites

By user-5519506... on 2018-07-06.

Fast driving vehicles create a constant dust cloud, zero shade in the front section and the middle section if your lucky enough to fit your camper is gravel lot with trees everywhere. They claimed a site was for a 40 foot, my 20 footer wouldn’t fit. Would not recommend staying here even with water activities.

| Good for holiday weekends

Stayed for Memorial Day weekend. Campground was full. Unless you reserved early, your site will be out in the open in full sun. Almost all sites have full hookups. Lots of activities. Live music on Saturday and Sunday by two different bands. Staff very friendly.
