Excellent Park

We stayed for only two nights but that was enough for us to want to come back. Excellent gravel pad, plenty of room, and with great drainage. We went through a pretty strong storm one evening but the next day you could barely tell. Great bike trails, kayaking, and shower facilities. Try and stay at the river camp if you plan to boat, the two campsites are approx 4 miles apart.

Fortunately we made it right before they closed the gate near dark (appx. 5:30). We only stayed one night traveling through to Key West.
Cost about $28.00. Nice, clean with large campground spots, which are gravel. Plenty of space between campsites. Several bathrooms with showers not far from any of the sites. The one near us also had a washer/dryer outside and was very clean inside.
Close enough to the ocean to feel the breezes. Would love to stay here again and walk the trails.
Too bad they don't allow campers to check in at any time but having a gate requiring a security code to enter (which they give you at check in) definitely makes it a safe campground. Rangers were very friendly.

Love this state park. It has plenty to do with hiking trails, boating, and bike trails. Amazingly clean restrooms and dog friendly camping.

We could have spent a month. Campground quiet, spaced out,clean and flat. Birds and wild life abound. The river boat ride was relaxing,saw manatees,and turtles, osprey and blooming cardinal air plants, an alligator and more. Captain very knowledgeable.

Stayed the weekend had a great time biking and boating. Had a fire at camp in the ring. Nice cool nights and a light breeze. The staff very friendly. Highly recommend . Great for the family

Very Nice State Park

Sites were very large gravel with a fire ring, picnic table and full hook up. Price was right at $28.86 for the night. We would stop here again.

Friendly Staff & great Park

We recently stayed at Pine Grove Campground. The site was very spacious, and clean. Laundry facilities were a short walk from our site. We enjoyed riding our bikes all over including to river side campground. We took our inflatable kayak to the river and went from The Loxahatchee River to Kitching Creek and back. It was beautiful and peaceful. We actually spotted a baby alligator but took the advice of the employees at the store and left it alone. (Since momma was surely close by!) The sweet ladies at the riverside camp store were very helpful and gave us great advice on area attractions. They also suggested we visit the Kimbell Education Center where we enjoyed a nice visit with John and Phyllis who gave us tons of info about the area and other Florida State Parks that we may be interested in staying at. We took their advice and followed Bridge RD out to Hobe Sound Beach and then down South Beach Road to The bay side of Coral Cove Park to snorkel. The water was beautiful and clear. Lunch at Schooner’s Restaurant was relaxing. Next stop....Topsail Hill Preserve RV Park. Best advice ever! Thanks!

I stayed in the river campground and had good shade from the trees and easy access to the restrooms at site 108. The river campground is further from the entrance gate (4-5 miles into the park) and the other loop is closer to the gate. So, if you prefer to come and go more often you may prefer the other loop, but it didn t look to have much shade. The park has lot of paths and trails for hiking and biking, as well as other activities, and it has a really fun mountain bike park trail system if you are a real mountain biker. There are plenty of areas for walking your dog, too! Loved it and would have stayed longer if they had more availability!
