Cat Heaven

This isn't the place to go camping. Just a place to park your RV to go into N.O. The spaces are tight and very little shade if any. There are cats everywhere. There's are train tracks and train yard right behind the campground. We heard very loud banging throughout the night. The restrooms were very small and needed a good cleaning. Mrs. Host was polite but not overly friendly. Mr. Host was a sarcastic jerk. I went to ask why the cable wasn't working and he said because you have to have a cable box. I said "Oh, I didn't know you had to have one" and he said "well you didn't ask". I asked if they had one and he said "come back later and get one from my wife, I'm busy". There were other things he said that just weren't very nice or professional. The area was scary. Don't get off the property and walk around. We are done with NOLA. Wouldn't go back to this campground if it was free.

Close to French Quarter for $$
By user-5898703... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed here, because it was close to the FQ and offered shuttle service. All other RV parks close were too expensive. Thus place was a good price. It's nothing special, but it was all about location for us. The surrounding area was a little sketchy, but the park was gated and I felt safe at all times. Wifi was good. Their shuttle service was extremely convenient for $5/person. The bathrooms were alright. A bit small and could use a good scrubbing, but it worked. Would recommend and come back.

Friendly place

Nice place with very friendly staff. We stayed there for two nights and would stay again. We didn't trains at night. The only thing I would say is that the spots are small and close to eachother and we found some dog poo on our spot... You also can take a shuttle for 5$ to the Frenchquarter which is about 15mins ride. We would stay there again.

Closer to the the french quarter than you might think
By user-5877419... on 2017-10-23.
The owners are very nice. We stayed three nights and enjoyed the pool. We got good info on where to park when going into the french quarter. We bought sight seeing tours at the campground. We visited local restraunts and the food and price was good. The camp ground also offered a shuttle to the french quarter.

The park itself is nothing special. If you have a allergy to cats stay away from the office. There are numerous cats wandering thru the park as well. It sits near the train rails and the trains run all night long and blow their horn when passing.
Although the owners were very gracious and friendly, we wouldn't stay here again.

Safe, clean, secure, easy!
By user-6369183... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed here for a couple days and loved it!! As three younger women traveling in a RV alone, we felt completely safe. Loved that the park was gated and secure. Marla and her husband were really accessible, helpful and friendly. Not too far from the French Quarter- about 10/15 min tops! The facilities were clean and Marla was very knowledgeable and helpful in regards to restaurants, activities, tours and events. Definitely utilize the shuttle they offer- $5/person- much cheaper than a cab. Overall, great experience! We will definitely stay there again

Great location, friendly staff. Yes a few cats roaming but never bothered anyone. It is kind of like a parking lot and everyone is stacked on each other but this park was the best choice as the other nearby parks looked dodgy from the outside. Jude's was gated. The area is bad where all the parks are located.

This RV-park really surprised us. The staff is so nice and welcoming. They answered all our questions, both on the phone and upon arrival. The shuttle (5$ pr. person pr. way, cheap and easy) goes straight to the French Quarter AND back again 5 times a day. They even guided us with directions and a map of the downtown. Really nice people, nice and clean park, and really worth the money.
