Wouldn’t want to stay here. Ppl in Wisconsin. Not so friendly!!!
I was always told, if you can t say something nice, don t say anything. Well, in this case, I feel it is my responsibility to inform others to help them decide if this location is worth visiting. The reservation I made months ago (over 6+) was not adhered to by G, the owner. Upon arrival, I was told that someone decided to extend their stay so my location was no longer available. As I have a larger rig and the pull-through site with full services was needed, this was not good news. We had guests with us, so full services were definitely needed, but instead I was put at a tight location without sewer hook-up and no lake view, which I did have at the pull-through location. It did have 50amp and water, but no sewer. He did offer to pump me out, but did not indicate if there would be a cost for that. Additionally, the grounds do not offer much to someone without a boat, for boaters/fisherman, this would be nice as you can dock right next to site, but for others, not much to offer. We were here in the heat of July, so the lake algae smell was bad in addition to the lake fly hatching that made walking outside at dusk impossible. G needs to improve his site management skills as he has no idea who is where based on his bookkeeping and practices of letting anyone go anywhere anytime. I even received a call from him Sunday, the day after we checked out, asking when we were going to leave. That was quite ironic as I spoke to him on Friday stating we were leaving the following morning (Saturday). If you are super flexible on location and have a boat, this may work, but for us, it did not, so only 1 star for Kalbus
