Nice place to stay. People are nice. Small and quiet. Shopping about 5 miles away. Would recommend if you are in that area!
Dirt roads, small cement pads, pull throughs so small you have to unhook before pulling through, ants all over the place, too many trees -- no cable and poor reception for local and satellite services. Did not like the place at all. One of the worst KOA's we have stayed at.
Not sure what the 6/16 reviewer experienced but we found this to be a very nice KOA. It's an oasis in the midst of rural Ilinois with mature trees and plantings that appear to be well managed. A visitor during the real Summer months would appreciate the shade! We stayed in a treeless pull through site #B5 that had plenty of room for our 27' motorhome and toad. This site has a new patio area and a mostly level gravel base. In light of the site and reasonable rate, we would be happy to stay here again!
Lots of trees, very poor internet (both theirs and my Verizon as well as ATT) and poor TV reception. Roads were muddy but they have had a lot of rain. Site was gravel and long enough for my 45footer with toad. A bit sloping and rather muddy. Had to request a different site because no way could we have gotten out of the first one due to big tree and parked neighbors. We were in the newer 50 Amp section and had quite a few tight turns.
