This campground is old but has lots of friendly residents. Very peaceful and quiet. It is located on the Kentucky River and some sites have a deck overlooking the water. We have a 42 ft 5th wheel and had a horrible time fitting in our assigned space. Do not recommend this park if you are over 35 feet. We told them how big we were when we made the reservation but they still assigned us a spot much too small. We moved to a larger spot and still barely fit. It was very stressful. The electricity threw an error code on our EMS as soon as we plugged in it and we had to wait three hours while they called out an electrician. My inlaws came in their class A and had to change spots also due to bad electricity. Water and sewer were fine. Cable had 10 channels, no phone service at all, and poor WiFi. People are very friendly here but due to so many issues we won’t return. It may be ok for a short stop in a small rig, but otherwise stay away.
Kentucky River Campground Frankfort, KY Do NOT recommend this park. We told them our length when making reservations and they assured us they had big enough sites. When we arrived, our assigned site was much too small. We were moved to a second site that took over 30 minutes to maneuver into because the spaces are so close. When we got parked, the electricity was faulty. We had to wait three hours on an electrician to come fix it. Our inlaws stayed here at the same time and they also had to move sites due to faulty electricity. Their new site was ok until the campground parked another class A beside them. The campground has over 50 owners and many are rude and treat you like an outsider. See pictures for how close an “owner” put their awning to my inlaw’s motorhome. They refused to bring it in even after my inlaws asked them to. Stay away! This is an old park with lots of problems and some very rude people. Full hookups but NO cell service with any carrier, bad WiFi, and very sketchy electricity.
