Showed up 4/13/2016 without a reservation and stayed 2 weeks. No regrets. Next door to Nuclear Museum. Close to many historic sites. Basic showers, restrooms and laundry. No frills. Full hookups. Will go back.

Reserved a spot 2 weeks prior to arrival. Got here and it was full, the camp host told us to park in a spot that was being redone. Had a huge hole we had to maneuver around. Guest washroom/bathroom is dirty, has stainless steel toilets like a prison would have and to top that off its is not air conditioned or even swamp cooled. So if you use the restroom be prepared to sweat, and taking a shower would be like a sauna. Not worth it. Would rather have boondocked.

Stayed for one week. Nice RV park, in two separate sections. Older part has level parking, mostly cement foundations and plenty of grass and trees. Some pull-throughs are very tough for big rigs with dinghy. Newer section all gravel. Bigger pull-throughs. Easier big rig parking. No trees. Recommend entry through Eubank gate (open weekdays 5am - midnight, check with security before arrival). Quiet surroundings. Easy access to base facilities (BX - Commissary). Laundry and WiFi Ok.

We arrived after the office closed and were able to self check in and find our spot. Sites are clearly marked and the whole process was easy. Sites are large and they have full hookups, FREE WIFI and drive through sites. Cost was only $18.

The Kirtland Famcamp is very nice. Don't understand the negative reviews. Didn't use the bath house or toilets though. Nice level gravel lots, with very nice convenient FHU's. Sites are well spaced. Base is big, and had all of what you'd expect for a Military Installation. Only drawback was Revelry and Retreat, which if you want to sleep in, you can't. But it's a training Base, which is why they play them. No big deal though. Nice to hear after all these years.

The bathroom was clean. The other campers were pretty quite and friendly. I did not use the laundry facilities. The photos of the site are not what it looks like today, in my opinion the maintenance staff does not upkeep the park very well. The dog area especially, no one picks up after thier pets and there are so many flies you cant even sit with your pet. I was afraid my dog would caught some sickness from being in that area so I ended up walking away from the park to find a place my dog could use the bathroom. The site says no more than 14 days at a time but some of the rv thier had the entire underside of the rig stacked with boxes and crates not the amount of stuff one would normally accumulate in less then 14 days. It did not seem any rules were enforced here. The host was not very knowledgeable on how to get to the park, gave me the wrong directions coming off the freeway, after being g on the road for 8 hours trying to navigate small streets was not fun. Then when I arrived the host asked me to pull into the road cause she was leaving for the day, no welcome, nothing. Just a very abrupt move your rig into the road so I can leave. The guy who was left there to check me in had the same attitude. Tossed me the registration paper and started having conversation with another man in Spanish totally ignoring me, so I just stood there listening to them complain about the guests, which i am sure they didn't know I could understand them. I tryed to pay with my card and he wanted cash, I told him my husband has it can we park to get out of the road and bring it to him in a few minutes. He replied No, I need I now so I can go home. I will not stay here again unless they make some major changes.

Great place to stay. All necessities met. No reservation. Checked myself in and picked my own spot. The only drawback to me is the dog park is actually dog dirt lol. No grass. Nice flat gravel sites. All in all would stay here again.

Arrived at 1:00 am and everything was full for full hook-ups, so we dry camped. Quite hours are 0600-2200, so no generator. Self-check in, OK, and easy access off the freeway. Very basic bathrooms, one shower, and laundry room, which we didn t use. basic dirt lots, close to each other and the over flow is an empty huge dirt lot. A place to stop and rest yes, long stay probably not. Overall $6.00 to dry camp can t complain. And also reveille was at 0700. Nice touch to wake up too.
