Had a great stay at another wonderful Florida state park. Very friendly staff especially are camping host who gave of great park hiking suggestions. Only problem was the road going in had bad washboard problem really shook rv. If you want to feel away from it all this is the park.
This park is a long long way from anything so a great place for hiking or star gazing. Great hiking trails. Miles and miles. Amateur astronomers set up in an astronomy area with their telescopes were happy to talk and let us look through their scopes. We were in the equestrian area where you can stay even without a horse since the family area was booked. Problem with that is no bathouse and only a chemical toilet. A bit of a hike to the bathouse in the family area. Amazing alligator and bird viewing area just before the turn to the ranger station and camping areas. Don't miss it!
Very nice and secluded. Lots of wildlife. Perfect retreat.
