This was a great place to stay if you are just needing a good safe place on interstate 5. We stay when ever we are either coming or going to The plan springs area. We live in Redding CA.
Kit Fox is a nice secure spot for the traveller. Easy to get in and out. Excellent staff. Reasonable rate $37 for a pull through. Modern connections. Easy walk to restuarants. We will definately stay here again.
Staying @ kitfox is turning into a nightmare. The maintenance guy does not clean the bathrooms EVERYDAY.I say that because, the showers get used EVERYDAY.He does not mop with bleach the bathrooms. The bathrooms & showers up in the office area, somebody does clean. Not with bleach water & not EVERY NITE or EVERYDAY.People CAN get infections from other people, that is a fact.Infections like:Foot, hand, foor, mouth disease,ANY type of fungus. There are 2 other bathrooms with showers & those 2 DEFINETLY DO NOT get mopped with bleach water either EVERY morning or @ nite. Not everybody has a shower in their motor home or rv.Not cleaning a bathroom/shower hourly, daily, nightly or whatever is a health hazard. The receponist is not people friendly. The maintenance guy gossips to other residents & is rude to tenants.
Stayed here 1 night. It's a good stop over located conveniently near Hwy. 5. We had full hook ups!Gravel sites which are fairly level but they don't have any shade. Nice laundry facilities. We didn't check out the restrooms or shower facilities.
Just arrived here around 1:30pm. First the positives, location is clean easy access and super close to Interstate 5. Spaces are gravel pads, no big deal. Great for a 1 NIGHT STAY that really is it. We do not have a satellite dish or any other source of TV channels, therefore we are stuck with 6 channels. No pool, extremely boring. This location is about 85 miles away from San Francisco. Bottom line is nothing spectacular. In all sincerity we should've kept driving the extra 200 miles and just made it to our next day destination.
Convenient to I-5, with good maneuvering room. Some traffic noise, but not too bad. Clean, well maintained.
Very convenient location right off I-5 near gas stations and restaurants. Our site had a gravel pad but a nice view out the back at a field (rather than other RV's). The only downside for us is the Wi-fi was horribly slow at all times of the day. Virtually unusable. My wife works from home and she needs a wifi connection for work. Because of this unusable wifi, we won't return. Otherwise it was a decent place and great location.
This is a nice park with lots of grass and is close to food and fuel. A short drive into town takes you past a nice shopping center. Into you find an old quaint town with a plethora of roundabouts. The area is surrounded by vineyards, almond and walnut orchards, and mandarin orchards. The downside to this park is that the sites are very narrow.
We just needed a place for the night so wanted easy in easy out. KitFox was perfect! Friendly staff, easy walk to restaurants for fast food or sit down dinner. Just off the freeway enough that road sound was far off. Slept great! Also access to diesel.
We began staying here as of August, 2017. I thought it would be a very enjoyable stay since most of Patterson residents are very kind and friendly....I was wrong. The manager gossips about EVERYBODY. He tells EVERYONE your business, and rumors get spread faster than wildfires. Maintenance is great. In my opinion, he should be the manager since management doesnt do anything other than gossip in my opinion.
This is a good for a overnight stay. The park has easy access to the highway, fuel and restaurants. The park is not much to look at but we just needed a layover. Pull through sites have easy access but are close. 50 amp FHU, Satellite friendly, reasonable wifi and limited cell signal. Didn't use the showers or laundry. Passport American is $24.
This is a great place to stay. I have read all the review. As far as I'm concern, if you have nothing positive to say; perhaps you should remember that when you point with one finger. There are 3 other fingers pointing back at you. We stayed here for 3 nights - $70 dollars. Yes, $70 with Good Sam discount. Yes, the place is close by the 5 fwy. No big deal on the noise. We slept like a baby! Yes, the woody perennials plants are at a minimum. The spaces are plenty long and wide. The hookup is Easy Peasy. The laundry facility is great. plenty of washers and amenities; such as coin change machine. The showers are clean and can use a bit of LTC. The management does follow through on the rules and guidelines for Kit Fox RV campground. Oh wait, some people are not pleased by following the rules cause it doesn't apply to them - WRONG! Come on! you have all the information at the tip of your fingers. If you do your research on the plethora of campgrounds; just to mention a few, google maps, google search, RV Parky (free), RV wizard and so on. Any one can be informed prior to choosing where to RV camp. While enjoying the beautiful mountains and surrounding area, we were able to visit friends. Kit Fox RV Park is for us. We had no problem with our 35K Bounder, tow dolly with car, plenty of space. We are full time RVers. Sometimes is RV parks, boon-docking in a variety of places and friends whenever possible. So far, we have been blessed in finding places all over this beautiful one of a kind USA. Post-evaluation, the bathroom are definitely ok; can use a bit of love and care. Also, we were about 50 yards from office and the Wifi was sketchy at best. Of course, I did not expect better. Therefore, I use my Verizon hotspot. From all of us at Tortuga Grande - Happy, slow and steady trips.
Loved it! Great little Oasis! Staff very helpful and space was extremely level!oved it! I will definently stay here again!!!!!!!!
This place honored passport america. No shade where we were. I-5 close by but far enough away not bother you. A good travel stop.
RV park was easy off/on the freeway with very little noise. Stopped for just one night but would definitely stop again. Back-in spots had grass in between, a must for my service dog, and we also $5 cheaper than the pull-thrus. A Walmart Supercenter is with 2 miles, as well as lots of other shops/food. They discount with AAA-AARP-Good Sam and extra for Veterans. I paid $40 including discount and taxes for my back-in spot.
Kit Fox RV Park is the best. The spaces are ample and drive-thru. We didn't have to unhook our tow dolly. We have a Bounder 35K with tow at about 55.5 ft. all together. We enjoy staying here for the night.
