There s does not seem to be much going on in Leon County, TX. But, in any given week big jobs open up at local industry, the Jewett Flea Market is in town, or maybe you just need a quick stop. Kozy Lakes and owners David and Annette will take care of you. The park is clean and quiet, off of the highway - but close enough for easy in and out. Nestled with trees around there is the original park and the newly expanded spaces surrounded completely by trees. There is absolutely no place I d rather park my trailer than Kozy Lakes, my home away from home.
About 7 miles off I-85 Ex. 179 Buffalo TX. In Jewett TX. As first time RVers, first time campers, we were a little nervous picking a place for our 1st night on the road. Driving our new RV from Alverado TX towards Florida, after a late start, decided to go only a couple of hours to Kozy Lake. From the 1st phone call to owner, David, thru him helping us setup, he was a godsend. We learned a lot. The site was wide and grassy. I had to back in but it was easy with this Class C. Even though this was not a resort park, it was great for a one night stop while traveling east. No real amenities(bathroom , shower, nor laundry) other than a lake full of fish. Power, water & sewage at site. . David seems to be working hard at upgrades. David did report that there is great fishing in the lake!
