Outstanding park with great views from the bluff as well as beautiful views of the lake in other spots. A CCC facility that was built in the 30's with outstanding buildings, cabins and hiking trails. Excellent fishing lake.The full service bluff area has beautiful views of the lake and sunsets. If you are not camping, the cabins are outstanding.Very quiet and peaceful. Another hidden gem of a park in the Texas State Park system.
Park is great and the one campsite is very close to the water. Although this site doesn t have sewer like one of the others. Pros and cons I suppose. Cell service works great. Spots are flat and nice. However only drawback is the fire pits and tables tend to be on the wrong side of the sites (electric hook up and water hook up side). Never had this problem and majority of sites are like this. Bathrooms are clean, staff is friendly and park is very nice w trails and cabins. I would go again now that I know what spots to book
