Nice spots, on lake with fishing and bird watching, boat launch and near city.
Not very populated. No full hook ups according to staff. Electric and water at each site with central dump station. Pretty lake with friends fishing. Beautiful sunsets. Sites are roomy and have shelter top over picnic tables and a fire pit and garbage hook. Staff friendly. None of the roads seem to have any lightning so it is dark at nite. Swimming allowed, playgrounds and picnic areas. Boat ramp. Fee a bit deceiving, $18 for site but you must also pay $4 use fee per adult per day.
Our spot was roomy and pleasant, almost level and we had electric and water for $18. Views of city and we would rather be away from it all or I would give it 5 stars. We had the pass so we didn t have to pay the extra daily fee.
Natural site. Nice get away. Should of stayed longer
First Texas state park visit, on large lake, spacious sites each with a cabana for shade & picnic table, trees & shrubs between sites, park rangers were helpful & friendly, level sites of different sizes. We only had electricity & water, sewer sites were full, spring break for some. Many loops, each with a dump station. $18 per night, but also $4 pp for state park entrance fee, daily unless you have the state park pass $70. Would return again in in the area.
