Beautiful Arkansas State Park
By user-6525530... on 2017-10-23.
This is our favorite Arkansas state park. It's well maintained and most sites are shady. You won't get much for satellite reception! It's not far from Hot Springs so you have access to shopping if you need anything. This is a kid friendly park and really beautiful. Sites are well spaced. Staff is friendly.

Solid 4 Star Park

Was told to visit here from a fellow RVer. Very nice park with an enjoyable 12 mile drive to the park on a winding road through the forest. A bit scary at night tho. LOL. Tall oaks right on the lake with paved sites and clean bath houses. Very kid friendly. So why not 5 Stars? Sites are well sized but not as spacious between campers as others we've enjoyed; while paved, the roads are still somewhat narrow as are the sites... which will make for a challenge with a large Class A; and there is a power plant across the lake which kind of ruins the view (plus you can hear a dull roar at times).
Paid $22 and arrived late but the site was reserved for us when we got there.

Great all around park
By user-4887335... on 2018-03-14.
One of the best I’ve been to recently. Spaces were long and paved. Many had full hookups, some were right on the lake shore. Yes, there’s a power plant across the lake, but oh well.
This park also has FANTASTIC hiking trails (3 total) - one of which is achievable for almost everyone and includes a waterfall!
We won’t be strangers to this park!

Lovely State Park
By user-6468665... on 2019-08-09.
Stayed there three nights on our way back home. Nice camp store with most needed items. About 11 miles to the closest town for gas and misc. Items. We enjoyed the geese coming on land and honking at us. The energy plant across the lake was a distraction. Every afternoon for a hour or so, were low level noises. The plant was the only negative for this great park. We would come back.

We stayed 3 nights in site 26, back in with electric. If you bring a long enough hose, you could do a water hookup. We just filled up our tank for kitchen and bathroom; we showered in the bathhouse across the street which was very clean and very strong water pressure. Huge site and a public pier behind us, which we had to ourselves for the most part. In the busier months, I would book away from the pier.

This is one of our favorites. And google street maps show you most of the spots. Full hooks are good and several of the old do not have full. Loop A bath house was spotless
