Sites are level and concrete but built high ... It was 17" from the ground to my bottom step. Take something to compensate for this. Restrooms were ok, but we're a lot nicer in other areas of the park. Good swimming, grills were awful and ended up cooking inside (bring your own grill). Bunches of locals, loud music, beer bottles, bottle caps and cigarette butts everywhere in the day use area (swimming area). We will visit again.

Nice clean park with fishing pier. Good for a quiet nature stay. Not much to do in the area other than fish and relax. Mathis is a close town we drove thru to get to the park. Not a very safe looking community so we did not stop in any area businesses in town.

Got in after dark so scouting out sites was tough. Full service area was full and looked like a lot of full timers. No service area was pretty vacant. Some really nice sites. 10/nt plus 5$/person park fee. Very nice pier to fish from. But we had no luck. Showers and washrooms could use a facelift. Definitely an ant problem. And there were cockroaches out at night. Especially down by the pier. All in all a nice park. Felt safe there. Staff seemed friendly.
