This campground was the perfect overnight spot for us. We were actually sad that we couldn't stay longer. It has an outdoor pool that is heated to 86 degrees, a playground for kids, gate access to the beautiful state park and lake. Heavily wooded with massive evergreens. Sites weren't too cramped and offered enough space for families. From what we could tell there were no permanent residents there with junky structures making the place look bad, hallelujah! Laundry facilities are good...two washers and two dryers. The manager was incredibly friendly and allowed us to "close up shop" in the laundry room because we had just come from Canada with 5 days of laundry for a family of 5. Definitely appreciated their hospitality. Check-in was fast and navigating the campground with our 55' set up (truck & trailer) was a breeze. Large pull thru sites. We didn't use the shower/bathroom facilities while we were there so I cannot comment on that. The park seems very family and pet friendly. Playground for kiddos was entertaining. Wifi is NOT free and there is a fee to use it, just a heads up. You will not be disappointed staying here.
One of the reasons I downgraded this park was the trees. I don't like them! Yes, they give shade but that doesn't make up for the bird poop, leaves, low branches. Getting satellite here is next to impossible. Wifi is Tengo pay as you go. $1.50/24 hours, not unreasonable. I had a wifi adapter that increases range. Don't know how it would be without this, probably not too good. Some sites are very interesting to negotiate. There were MANY open sites but they parked a MH right next to us. I will never understand that philosophy. Very quite. Good ATT.
We spent one night in this park. Nothing fancy but clean facilities and friendly staff. The lake is very close and uncrowded. Showers and lavs were clean. No TV but big deal. Internet is spotty but was there even without using camps wifi. We will use it again.
