Reviews for Lake Griffin State Park

Nice state park, large wooded sites.quiet and close to Mt Dora and Tavares. Only gave it 4 stars because sites are not level at all. Would be nice if they would level the ground. We have stayed here before and will come back.

Really a fantastic park! Very user friendly for all ages. Loved the beautiful camping, fishing, walking, water park, areas. Clean and easy in and out!

Florida State Parks like this one are among the best. Well maintained by rangers and campground hosts who are quite proud of them. Restrooms good. Usually water and electric but not full hook ups. This one was mostly water and marsh and we had great kayak rides in their rental kayaks. Canoes also available. You will quickly learn to protect from mosquitos, especially at night.

Stayed here one night on way to Key West. Very clean park. Wooded and level sites. Showers/bathrooms very clean. A great bargain.

We stayed here one night, they were very accommodating in finding us a spot even though they were all booked we ended up staying at the host site for the night because they weren't there yet. Beautiful park and had a nice and quiet night, enjoyed our stay.

We had a great stay . Well maintained park, restrooms very well kept. Lots of trails. Seen an ARMADILLO a couple times too. We stayed 10 days and enjoyed the park very much.

| Not a destination park, but good for a few days.

We stayed in Lake Griffin State Park in Fruitland Park for the pure convenience of it. We were getting a new awning put on at Nichol s RV & Truck Center and we wanted to be close by for our morning appointment. We only stayed 3 nights, but we enjoyed ourselves. The mammoth live oak was definitely the highlight of the park, but we also had fun geocaching. It s not what we d call a destination park, but we d certainly go there again if need be. Site 11-14 have sewer. Nice surprise we weren't expecting. Stayed in site 13 with 36ft fifth wheel. 90° angle to back in. Very long site once in. Trees between all sites. Laundry also available
