RV Sites were not to par. Water connection was buried and had to dig it out to connect. Electrical connection was an old break 20 amp that kept tripping, my friends water connection was to far for her to connect. There are too many residents that live at the property, not camping and their sites were junky. Sites that were available for campers were small and hard to get into, and the worst was seeing two little boys 5 and 7 years old that were allowed to run amuck, begging from site to site and the parents were no where in sight. That was sad. They need more control over their residence if they are going to allow people to live there. Not a place I will return to unless they clean up the population.
We went in the off season, October. Took our trailer and got a host spot with partial hook up, electric and water. They have a dump which worked for us. Nice experience, would come back. Only downside, bees were around our campsite 430, and they were a bit aggressive. Tried fishing but gave up after dealing with bees by the shore. Can't sit and relax for a minute without a bee buzzing in your face.
After buying an RV about a month ago,mother wife and I were looking for rustic sites where we could fish and dry-camp. We did not want to stay in a trendy park, as we could have just stayed home for that. In finding parks around lakes, this one stood out for us. Nice sites with tables close to the shore of the lake. Rustic, dirt instead of concrete, but just what we were looking for. Rally pretty. I have favorited this site and we will come here again.
There are a lot of people who live here not camp here. It's not our style of camping at all. The surrounding area is pretty and the campground has a lot to offer but the mixture of residents and lower end campers was not a place we will revisit.
Huge campground situated by Hemet Lake. Water and dump station at entrance. Lots of portapotties. We had a nice stay. Be sure to dress in layers, bring a jacket and thick socks. Bring lots of food too, the store, which is about 10 miles away, is sparce and expensive.
