Reviews for Lake Louisa State Park

| Great Park, Friendly Staff

Had a great time this weekend. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pet friendly but quiet campground. Kayak or canoe rentals are available. The multiple lakes are beautiful and have been left natural which limits access to designated fishing docks and canoe launches. Nice beach area as well.

We stayed here in our 5th wheel for a week while we were treating our three youngest grandchildren to their first trip to Disney World (they stayed at DW with their parents and we drove 1/2 hour in to meet them each day). The flat, well maintained spaces are nearly 3 miles into the park off the highway so are VERY quiet. The park gate is locked and security coded at night. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not all spaces have sewer hook up so if you need that choose your space carefully. They need more easily located trash cans but other than that it was perfect.

We went out in our RV for the first time and what a great trip! The sites had plenty of space and there are 2 Great Lakes just steps away from the campground. The drive down to the big lake is a beautiful ride. We were on a motorcycle so we didn't go swimming this time but we'll be back!

This was our 1st time in our trailer. Had a nice spot that had trees around. Very quiet. Enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here while visiting Orlando parks. Very clean. Spacious sites. Great roads for bike riding. We have seen lots of wildlife. The landscape is rolling hills the were made from ancient sand dunes. The swimming lake has gators in it, but lots of people were swimming at the beach. The water is tea colored which looks very odd, but occurs naturally and is safe. Many restaurants and stores nearby. Ice cream shops, too. A pick your own blueberry farm is also close. There is a Fly Zone trampoline gym nearby so kids can be entertained locally too.

Good sized lots, reasonable privacy, some full hookups, partial shade, clean and quiet. Short drive to access fishing dock and canoe launch. We really liked it and will return.

| Huge park with beautiful lakes.

Lake Louisa state park is a sprawling park, with over 4,500 acres to explore. There are six lakes and two big creeks, so there s an abundance of places to fish. Despite its large size, it s located in Clermont, which has tons of shopping and restaurants to pick from. The park has over 23 miles of trails, and the campground is in good condition. Overall, we wished the campground was closer to the playground, or that the water was clearer, so that we would have felt comfortable swimming. The hiking around the lakes is very pretty, but beware that if you hike on the equestrian trials, there will be lots of sun and very little shade. This was our second stay here and we reserved a full hookup site, but when we arrived we found out that in order to hookup to the sewer, we would have needed 30 feet of hose (which I didn't have). All of the washing machines were broken both times we stayed here. That being said, this is a beautiful park to visit. CoxFamilyTravels
