| Loud Trains Every Hour

All reviews accurate. Trains run every hour all the time and it's very loud. May be a deal breaker for light sleepers. Other than that, a decent stay but wouldn't want it to be longer than one night.

Atmosphere in the campground is good with lots of tall pine trees and a river flowing next to the campground. Campsites are side-by-side, which is okay if you are travelling with someone and want to share your site. We prefer having a single site and there are a few of them in the campground, but not many. Electricity was good and we had good cell phone reception on Bell Canada. No TV though and only one radio station, so bring books or games or something to pass the time in the evenings.

I agree with what the other two comments said. 1. Close neighbors, we could hear the kids in the camper next to us jumping up and down; 2 trains at all hours. This is a great place to stay to visit Lake Louise and surrounding area and it's not far from Banff. Another good thing is the road to Banff is 4 lane!! No wifi, no water but they do have an easy in easy out water fill and sani dump station.

| 2 RV share one site

By user-6447267... on 2017-10-23.

Most campsites are shared by 2 RVs. By the position they put the picnic table, each RV is facing different way. So our dinette window is very close to the other's. If you like to see what your neighbor's dinner is, this works. And electricity box is at righthand side so our code has to run under the vehicle to reach it. Another unhappy thing is the trains. They are frequent, they are not just passing, they horn very loud. The only good thing is the location.

You can't beat the location as far as seeing these amazing lakes and taking the ski resort chair lift to the top of the mountains. The campsite has electricity at the sites but you have to dump and fill up water towards the entrance if you run low on water which can be a hassle. Location wise and things to do around here- 5/5 rating.

All reviews are accurate. It's location is a 5 minute drive to Lake Louise. The sites park two vehicles side by side. The train goes all night long and is very loud. The sites have tables and electric. The area is large to set up chairs BBQ etc. Dog friendly. The staff at the entrance were professional and helpful. We just stayed one night.

June 2017 Basic campground with gravel pull throughs utilizing side by side RV spots, Electric only at $32.30 per night. 4 lane drive thru dump point and fresh water taps in central location. trains run day and night, did not worry us but might if you have small kids. Helpful friendly staff at Parks Canada Kiosk on entry. clean toilets and showers. No wifi or tv available campfires available. A few minutes drive to Lake Louise and Mouline Lake

| Yup, loud trains about every hour

West bound trains are much louder than east bound ones. If it s open ask for a site in the lower campground. It s closed while we were here appears it would be quieter. 30 amp only. Nice multi lane dump facility. Very piece full place between trains going by. nice river right across from sites.

Yup, prior reviewer captured it. Trains at least every hour from noon to 8pm today. Haven't been here thru the night yet. Beautiful spot. Its Saturday night and still available sites at 8pm. Its a no reservation place, first come first server. You can stay 14 nights once you have a spot. We are staying two nights. Right on a river. Spotless brand new bathrooms. if you can overlook all the trains its an incredible place to camp while checking out Lake Louise. Pet friendly. Although the ranger at the kiosk mentioned they have a Griz around the campsite with cubs. But she is "Friendly" No idea what to take from that statement. A lot of the site are double's, our site #67 was a single. Really long pull thru. Had at least 30' behind my 40' RV and plenty of room up front to park the Equinox. I am guessing this site is 90' long.
