| Very peaceful
This is a very nice state park. We stayed right on the lake with water and electric. There are full hookup sites but none as pretty or private. There is a beach where you can swim and dogs are allowed in other parts of the lake. They are currently renovating a portion of the park to accommodate 50amp service. I gave 3 stars because I think it was a bit overpriced.
| Great State Park!
This is a very nice state park! The park staff are some of the friendliest and most helpful people we met on our Autumn Adventure. The sites, for the most part, all have a water view with many being water front. They sites aren t very level but the park staff has leveling blocks if you don t have your own. There is plenty to do with a beach, kids play ground and 23 miles of hiking/biking trails. Close to Tuscaloosa so easy drive to UA as well. We will be back!
