A large group of us get together every spring and spend a long weekend just fishing, eating, and hanging out. Great place! A-loop is the place to be! Especially spaces A-6 & A-7, right on the water (has a water tap but no hook ups). Its supposed to have free Wifi, but this year it wasnt working. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I think that the rangers automatically see big groups and think itll be trouble. Our second night this year, a ranger approached us and said the night before someone put a noise complaint in. The night before we were a small, quiet group of 8 who ate dinner, sat around the fire, and went to bed at 9pm (Quiet time isnt until 10pm anyway).
Had a wonderful time there very quiet amp peaceful.
We stayed in A Loop, where there is water and electric but no sewer. There are full hookup sites, but they re not on the water. The sites are dirt, at least in A Loop. Staff was friendly, and the park rangers patrol often enough that no one sticks to the rules regarding quiet time and anything else, really. If they made a couple improvements, it would easily be 5 stars
Great location, very peaceful. Most sites not level, but some very close. Couldn't get the Wifi to work for us. Verizon very weak. Paid an extra $4 per day pet fee (they told us $4 per animal--we have one dog), which we didn't see listed on their web site.
