There is about a half dozen campgrounds for free on this lake. 2 have free sani dumps and hot showers. Do your research.
Nice spot! Nice view, water, shower, picnic area! We stayed 2 nights and it was perfect!!
This is a great overnight spot on the way yo/from northern New Mexico and Colorado but it just got better with 10 newly added water+electric pad sites -4D Flatlander
Stayed in in one of their Boondocking sites for 2 days. Site was overlooking the lake. Not much shade and lots of wind, mostly at night to the point where it was hard to sleep. The camping area is also a little hard to find. Could have used more signage off the main road. We checked in at the ranger station in town to get a map. Also a little disconcerting were how many cars of sketchy people that drove through the campsites. One old sedan made the rounds of trash cans and took our trash bag out that I had just dumped! There were other cars that just drove through real slow just checking out the sites like they were casing the area. Didn't feel real comfortable with that. Would have stayed longer but for those incidences and the wind!
