Not coming back
By user-5903854... on 2017-10-23.
I live local to this campground. I took my lunch break and went to make reservations for our family and another family. I went with all the details or needs of each camper. We were assured that we would be camping next to each other as we both had young kids and did want them crossing any roads. I paid for the sites and was on my way.
Several weeks later we arrive at our schedule weekend for camping. Our sites were not situated near each other. The employees quickly made it my fault and treated me as if I had never been camping before. When in fact I have been camper camping for many years and I provided them a note of what we actually needed.
Extremely poor service and quality of facilities. It is the worst KOA that I have ever been to. We will also let KOA know of our concerns with this camp.

Cancellation fee
By anonymous-user on 2017-10-23.
I called and made a reservation for one month in advance and gave them a $45 deposit on my credit card. Due to a change in plans (I am coming from across the country) I called them within one hour of making the reservation to cancel and they still charged a $10. cancellation fee. I would not stay here or recommend them just because of this predatory policy.

Caution bing coach

The front desk girl was not exactly welcoming and I can now see why this RV park got low reviews.
The turns are tight and sites are rocky and not level at all. Ok for us with levelers but not good for others Lots of big trees on proper way out had to go our the other way. Just a bit of caution

Rip off
By user-5909806... on 2018-03-14.
We received a letter from North Shore Resorts saying where a finalists of four prizes, we drove from Chattanooga 3 hours down to there trashy trailer park campground to listen to their BS for 3 hours they tryed to sell a vacation resort package to us at several more trashy trailer park campgrounds for $15,000 we obviously turned them down the prize we won was a 7 day cruise with airfare we ended up getting a pamphlet from a company called trending travel with the phone number of 386-252-2332 all you have to do is Google this phone number and read the reviews of this company they're dealing with. You're not going to win a truck you're not going to win a TV you're not going to win a tablet you're going to win Cruise and it ain't worth a plug nickel.

Huge disappointment, especially after coming here while growing up before it became KOA
By user-5223874... on 2019-08-09.
Disappointment all around! Paid twice as much as the other campgrounds we usually stay at on the lake, and that was for the cheapest category. Space was way too small; the camper barely fit in and dropped off on both sides and sloped. There was nowhere at the site to park even one vehicle. Ants everywhere; playground and beach unusable. Patio rotting and unusable. There was no grill or firepit to use. Pools were closed even though they were supposed to still be open. Couldn t keep our boat there; thank goodness we have family nearby to use their dock. Rude! ETC!!

Not your standard KOA
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
I made my reservations online at the KOA - included the length of our camper... she acted like I was nuts for actually making the KOA reservation online. They didn t have the spot for me which actually had a picture of where you could see the lake.... lake is nowhere near- there are no spots for large campers on the lake. So she kinda blamed it on me for not having the spot I reserved.... she was nice but I am very disappointed in the KOA name being used. We have travelled all over the country in KOA s - this one doesn t hold up to the KOA standards at all. How in the heck did that happen?
It is very hilly, tight turns- hope to God we can get our camper outta here... we are having to go buy a step to get up in our camper cause there is a hill where our steps are...
I haven t seen any ants - yet.
It is not messy though, it s very clean and quiet.... and kinda cute with cabooses for cabins around the park- just not what I thought I was reserving...

I visited there yesterday and it's the worse campground I have ever seen.
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
This is no longer a KOA! It is being bought by Travel Resorts America. They have an agreement to "use" the KOA branding for a certain period. This LLC goes around and buys distressed campgrounds then they "supposedly" fix them up to their high standards. HA!
Haven't seen that yet!? We fell for the sales pitch and bought into it 6 months ago. Big mistake! Should have checked with B.B.B. Many, many complaints!

Not suitable for motorhomes
By user-6304188... on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2019-04-20 to 2019-04-21
These are the worst campsites and roads that we have ever experienced. We reserved a pull thru site for a 40ft motorhome. The site was so uneven that our front tires were off the ground and we still weren t level. The roads in front of the pull thru sure were washed out so we had to back the coach all the way out to the main road.
