Lake of the Woods Campground is also one of the best kept secrets in the north country. Those who have already found it try to keep it that way and I can understand why. The park is very well maintained with abundant shade trees at every site. The owners are the nicest people you could ever meet. They make every effort to accommodate those who come here and you are always treated like family. This is our second consecutive year to come here all the way from Texas and it will definitely not be our last.
We are heading to Canada and by reading the reviews ended up here! A great stop on the famous Rainy River. Very, very quiet during weekdays off season. Very friendly people in the office and they gave us a pretty site just close to the office so (free) WiFi was working good. Cable is also free and reasonable. Sites are opposite each other what we don't like, but when we where here there was no one to be seen near us. We will come back if we ever be in the neighbourhood.
