like most RV parks in Florida this location is expensive for what you get. the spots are close to level (the one i was assigned was level) and gravel/sand. the 'roads' in the park are paved. the bathroom is small (one stall, one shower), older, and like all KOAs clean. there is a second bath facility near the pool. staff was helpful when i made the reservation (a 'must do' in Florida) and was greeted when i arrived late, 9PM, by a host. the park spots are closely spaced ... nothing more than what i have experienced in other private parks. the park has a designated are for 'overnighters'; which is where i stayed. the rest of the facility is filled with folks here for the season. there are a good number of park model mobile homes. all in good repair. Internet is slow ... nothing different than 95% of other parks. when will RV parks install a wifi network that is up to the task??!! my rating is based on high cost and the location being 'nothing fancy'.

The park is located on Lake Panasoffkee and while none of the sites are waterfront, they do have their own boat ramp, docks and air boat rides. A discount is available for those staying at the campground. Lots of tall trees covered in Spanish moss create plenty of shade but can be a bit messy with a lot of falling leaves. The pool, laundry, clubhouse and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The bath house by the pool is newer with clean modern bathrooms and showers. Also located in the Same building is the laundry facility with 5 new washers and dryers. Very friendly and helpful staff and as usual with a lot of southern campgrounds, quite a few snowbirds here for the winter. Site spacing is about average. Interior roads are narrow and need work. Our site was number two and was a pull through site. It easily handled our 40 ft motorhome, but the sewer placement was located part way into site three next to us. It was actually buried in leaves underneath our neighbor's mat. A very poor placement, so we elected not to hook up until we were ready to leave. We'd say the park is just a little bit of work from being an 8 or 9 overall. Catfish Johnny's down the road had good food at reasonable prices. The nearest Walmart is about 8 miles away. Running alongside I75 is a railroad that you will hear about 4 times every night. They plan to upgrade some of the sites and interior roads during the 2015 summer.

Sites are designed to pack RVs like sardines. Nothing close to level. Internet soooo slow. Avoid!

We stayed two nights here to shake out our new hybrid RV. The customer service was awesome and they were really helpful. During our stay we had no neighbors to our left or right but I couldn't imagine if we did because the "over night" pull through sites look to be fairly tight (I can confirm the other comment on this same issue). If you are looking to have a fire you have to rent a fire pit for $5, which seemed a little stupid; not sure if it's a Florida thing but I've stayed at several KOAs and never had to rent a fire pit. All and all we had a very nice and quiet stay, no issues.
