Reviews for Laramie KOA

| Needs improving

By user-2669003 on 2017-10-23.

The access is easy from the interstate. They have a dog area that has agility equipment. It needs maintenance. They provide bags to pickup after your dog. Dogs can be off leash in the dog area. Our little dog sure enjoyed that. The Wi-fi was to weak to connect to the evening of our stay. There is work going on and this has the potential of being a great camping experience.

| Cost way to much

By user-6630686... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2015-06-17 to 2015-06-18

They show the price of $34-36. We stayed 1 night on 50 amp, no cable or any other extras and it cost $50. The lots are tight and way to short. This is the last time I stay at a KOA

| Not good

By user-4685313... on 2017-10-23.

Sites set up backwards and after we got all set up discovered the water didn't work. There are campgrounds at exits 311 and 312. I wish I had tried one of those. The staffs response was"well there are problems everywhere "

| Typical KOA

By user-4535576... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2016-05-21 to 2016-05-24

Parking lot but full hook ups and pull thru, typical but clean. As usual too expensive.

| Expensive, small sites, noisy

By user-5252686... on 2017-10-23.

July, 2016 in 40' rv. Large rv get sites next to I-80 with unending road noise. $49.50. Less than 5' betw my slides & neighbor; disgusting. Stone pads. Poor wifi. Yet, Handy when passing thru & staff helpful. 5star price for 2-3 star park.

| A Nice KOA

By user-5226683... on 2017-10-23.

Located just minutes from downtown Laramie. Facilities are VERY clean and staff friendly/helpful. Good wifi and cable tV. Sites are level gravel all with picnic tables and some with grills. Being close to I-80, there is road noise, but not so bad as to not want to return. Would definitely stay here again.

| I would give more stars if I could

This KOA has grass, trees, super nice and clean level sites. Here's a tip: if you have a class B camper van like a pleasureway or road trek, ask for one of the 4 Deluxe tent sites. I know your thinking tent site? It comes with full hookups, 30 amp, water, sewer, cable, picnic table and grill PLUS it's cheaper than the regular RV sites and you get s privacy fence/windscreen. My total for one night was $31.00!!!!

| Expensive

By user-5829878... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2015-08-03 to 2015-08-04

Nice folks working the desk, large pull-through spaces with picnic tables at each site. Too close to highway, so it's noisy. Nothing scenic about this place. Since it is just a stopover location in my opinion, it's way too expensive. We stayed the next night in Colorado for 1/3 the cost in beautiful tall pines away from the highway. Hard to justify the cost of this KOA.

| Extra noisy and tight spaces

Not impressed at all.

| Too expensive for so little

By user-6594503... on 2017-10-23.

This is the only RV park in Laramie or we would not be staying here. We have stayed several times. No discount for month stay! Didn't really care that we can't get wifi! Gravel spots so crowded that there is barely room to walk between the neighbors sewer connection and our door. Restrooms are good as is washing facilities and dog run is good. This year they really jacked up price to 45 dollars and no discount for longer stay. If we didn't need to be here to see family I would not recommend!

I couldn't update my review so thought I write a new one. Still not happy with price but I must say that there is a big difference from last year in that there are people constantly working on the grounds. I don't know if new owners or what but we were very pleased with the up keep and willingness to please. Wifi is better to than last year. They really try to park people with empty place between campers. Rarely had anyone right next to us. Still needs work but they are making a difference!

| Not much to brag about...

By user-5515726... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2016-05-21 to 2016-05-28

The park is clean and the grounds are taken care of... which is the only reason I didn't give it one star. The sites are narrow and expensive. The WiFi is so-so and spotty. The ground gets real muddy after the rain. The water pressure is low. It is extremely noisy, as it is right next to the freeway. Additionally, there is a truck stop exit just down the way and the truckers all use their jake brake when slowing down... which will drive you crazy in the middle of the night. Additionally the park roads are full of pot holes. Just not a lot to like about this one.

| Eclipse avoider

By user-5909890... on 2017-10-23.

Booked here about 3 months ago on way to grand Tetons. Wasn't expecting such traffic! The checkin was fast friendly! There was a young man that helped us and probably one of the nicest most polite young man I've met. He even found us their last two pairs of eclipse glasses . Free! I'd give it 4 stars expect shower stalls need updating. But bath house was big, clean and adequate. Tons of campers and tenters last night and still clean and friendly folks. Sights are not huge but very easy pull throws. Great experience

Dusty, windy, loud freeway noise. Rec room and fitness center were closed. Wi-fi spotty. Most expensive and worst campground on our cross-country trip thus far.

| Good KOA but WIFI needs work

By user-5817148... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-08-16 to 2018-08-17

This is the usual well-managed KOA operation. Expensive and reliable. No shade. About a two mile walk to the tourist part of downtown but can be scenic beware of the Clark Street bridge closure! That will also force you to go around the usual route, although Google had it right (for cars) in August of 2018. Spacious drives and all kinds of slots, though I didn t see tents. WIFI is, oddly, slow 500+ ms ping time and up to 30% packet loss so unreliable and sometimes unusual. Campground does fill up so streaming is probably out. And, I was parked right next to the WAN antenna maybe that had something to do with it. Properly designed level pull-through slots with one proviso. Our drive through on row H, far west side (and those around us) had, over the years sunken below the level of the grassy ground around them. Therefore, your sewer pipe outlet could be below the level of the sewer inlet and we all know that s t don t run uphill. So, be careful when unhooking. Others have noted freeway noise; at night, it s light traffic so not bad in our experience. Pleasant place and Laramie is fun (downtown). Will return.

| Would stay again

Wasn't attractive, and noisy, but the sites were long and easy on and off. Laundry room was nice and clean and open all night. Wifi was spotty. A few good places too walk the dog and a decent doggy park. Little pricey but not much to choose from.

| The NOISE !!

By user-5882645... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-10-19 to 2018-10-21

We stayed 2 nights on our month long trip because my husband went to school here 34 years ago and hadn t been back. Water at the sites had been turned off and winterized but we filledour fresh water at the office. The shiwers were clean. The office staff was nice but the freeway noise was unrelenting. It never stopped.

| Nice park for the price

By user-5862185... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-04-26 to 2019-04-29

No complaints. This was our alternate to the more expensive sites in Cheyenne and we were not disappointed. The weather was horrendously windy but apparently that's not unusual here. Sites are kind of close together but since the park wasn't too full that wasn't an issue. No campfire rings but there are grills at some sites. All pull through and I believe all are FHU. Cable and good Wi-Fi. We were able to stream Sling. Price was below $28. Well worth it!

| GPS can be wrong!! MUDDY SITES!!

By user-5592020... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-05-17 to 2019-05-18

Waze brought us in the back way and we tow a hydraulic dolly = cannot back up so the KOA man had to come out and move orange barrels and cones - TY!! Sites are narrow but adequate but $50 is steep for a muddy site and dirt / MUD site roads!! Just BE AWARE!!

Nice enough. Laundry was clean although a bit pricey $2.50 wash. $2.50 to dry. Typical KOA Pricing. Open 24 hrs. Did not use their showers. I believe all sites are pull through 50a or 30a. Gravel with table on a small lawn. Typical KOA spacing between sites. Mosquitos at dawn and dusk. It s Wyoming. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Freeway near by is noisy 24 hrs a day. No problem for me. They do have earplugs at the office. I would stay again.

Convenient to I-80, but that comes with the expected road noise. The park is a mix of long term residents and short term campers. Our site was a pull through site on the edge of the park nearest the freeway. The freeway noise was significant. The roads and sites are gravel with a small grass area and picnic table between each site. The park has a small restroom and laundry service at the main building and a separate building that is a fitness room, TV room and recreation room. The wifi worked well, which was a bonus. .

Stayed one night driving through. Gravel pads with some grass. Some perm renters. Did not use restrooms. Laundry was very clean although pricey at $2.50 wash, &2.50 dry. Some clothes took longer than 1 cycle. Staff was personable. I would stay again.

I paid 88.00 for a site that should have been a lot less. Old park with sites real close to each other.
