Big disappointment

Stopped here for one night in February. Very small park. We got the last available space. Couldn't hook up to the sewer. Showers were closed for the winter. Sight wasn't even close to being level. Wifi didn't work at all. No tv. And a bunch of barking dogs thst didn't shut up the entire time we were there. Way overpriced for what you got. Would not recommend nor go back.

Wilder Days & Relaxing

Beautiful, clean, family friendly campground. We stayed in a pull through 50a sevice, it was big, shady & level. Distance between sewage & power box will test how prepared you are with spare hoses as we had to use 50ft of sewer hose & was at an uphill slant from our position.
We made it work & loved our stay.
If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing place off the highway for a few nights this is your spot.

If your, ahem, hose is long enough, this is a fine RV park. Spacious sites, lovely lawns, hammocks under ample shade trees.

Disappointing...

Host was friendly and accommodating but facilities were lacking. Not big rig friendly...our 32ft coach with car found maneuvering to be quite tight. More restroom facilities needed...only one throne for the guys and only one for the girls plus only two showers. Pull through sites had full hookups, but there were only a few of those. Considering the historical nature of the area, this place hasn't realized it's potential but charges like it has.

36' Class A MH, looking for 50A with water & sewer. Pulled in at upper level, utility connections were inconvenient, terraced sites are long and level, but of insufficient width. When even with water & sewer connection, my 30' 50A cable was stretched to its limit. One of the two hot wires was dead. Considering the $40/day charge (the first night was $20 for Pass Port America) we decided this was not adequate, we left and will be looking for a refund.

Nice big pull thru site. Quiet area. No cable or WiFi but lots of channels with the antenna. Would come back.

While the pull-thru hookups are very inconvenient, this is a wonderful little park. Kid enjoyed fishing in the pond; family loves lounging on the hammocks; all enjoyed the peace and quiet. New museum opens across the street sometime soon. Great location and value!

Scenic litre park for bigrigs

We stayed here because it's across from the fabulous and educational Laura Ingalls Wilder homes and museum. The sites are pullthru for 50 amps and back in for 30 amp. Was almost full on a Friday in November, so call ahead. The young family owners are very sweet and professional. We stopped to unhitch the toad, and the wife participants so we got half price. Overlooks an open meadow and beautiful Ozark hills.

Correction and addition to my previous review. The wife met us on her golf cart. They are passport participants so we got half price. We stayed here with our 45' motorcoach and toad.

We made reservations, but it was informal, with self check-in and picked our own spot.
A few long termers live there.
Back in spots can be a little short. You may have to park to the side of your trailer or parallel style.
Nice enough and clean enough.
Quiet.
Close to Mansfield, which is small, but has a grocery store and a Dollar General among a few other things.

We do apologize if your stay is in adequate. Unfortunately whoever set the park up 40+ years ago was not dealing with the typical rigs of today, where sewer and electrical is a problem. However, we do have extensions, for water, electric and sewer, on hand if we are notified of your not having enough to make it reach, for loan, free of charge knowing the situation is a problem unfortunatlybits a very expensive problem to fix correctly. It is also unfortunately, setup where some sites have the water/elec, on the passenger side although ALL of the sewers are on your drivers side.
We strive to do whatever we can to make your stay accommodating, and peaceful, however, in the end, if we can not please you, we will gladly refund your money, (even some who leave without letting us know why). We will even send a check refund to a cash customer who overpays via the night checkin if they leave an address to do so. As for the dogs barking, I m assuming that was during a short time where there was a missionary to Africa here packing their shipment to leave, and they had 2 guard dogs tied out on runners waiting for their trip to Africa. We do apologize for their disturbance, and are pleased to let you know they are no longer here.

The owners are fantastic and helpful, the camp hosts were equally friendly and helpful. Small park, but clean, well maintained and picturesque. Across from the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum and home which was very entertaining.
Clean laundry and bathhouse, playground, and lots of room to walk the dogs. Pretty and peaceful. Passport America Rate applies for the 1st night ($12.50) Very informal check-in system. You pick your spot (pull thrues and back-ins) and let the office know, fill out the registration sheet and pay.
Would most definitely stay here again!
