Reviews for Lavonia COE Park

| Poor maintenance

We have stayed at many COE campgrounds across MS, TN, KY, GA. This is the worst COE we have ever stayed at. The pads are narrow, very sloped and some are terribly broken along with potholes. This park needs a major facelift. I would not return.

This park is really run down. Needs tlc very bad. Asphalt is all broken up on pads and roads are in need of repair. All sites are unlevel so bring extra leveling blocks. We had to move twice for electric problems. Low voltage 97 volts. Sticker on pedestal said only 24 amps available on 30 amp post. No 50 amp at all. Had to pay for 2 extra days to move to another site with good electric of 120 volts 30 amps.

| Quiet, usually never crowded and beautiful.

Granted that most of the sites are not level but nothing that can't be overcome with blocks and Auto levelers. An earlier review said that the entry gate was never manned but I've never found that to be the case. One night I came back at 9:50 p.m. and there was someone at the gate that let me in. The gate is manned until 10 p.m. I think the people that work here are fabulous and camping so close to the lake makes up for a lot of the Deferred maintenance. Sinks in the public restrooms don't work but thank God the toilets do flush. They do honor the America the Beautiful park pass and with the pass, you do camp at half price. I stayed for 15 days and paid $15 per day. That's for full hookups.
