Lightner Creek Campground and Cabins

Lightner Creek Campground hosts thousands of families per season, and we can accommodate everyone; from tenters to RVs and even those with no camping equipment. The paved county road off of Hwy. 160W to our campground is well maintained, making the 1.5 miles easily accessible, regardless of what you are bringing. The drive to downtown Durango is just 5 miles down the road. We are a full service campground with restrooms and showers, and many more amenities you will find relaxing while visiting our area. Be prepared to cook with charcoal or gas, we do not allow campfires at our park. Your pet is welcome at campsites or in Camper Cabins (you must clean up after your pet.) Our mountain climate is really enjoyable; creating cool average temperatures most evenings during the summer months. We are located at 7,200' in elevation, so our days can be t-shirt warm and evenings chilly enough for a sweatshirt. There is so much to see and do in the 4 Corners area. Be sure to plan a day to visit Mesa Verde National Park.
