Nice park that i have stayed at several times. Clean, quiet, wooded. Website says prices for full hookup is now $66 per nite. $35 if just pulling in to use dump station.

This is a nice county park in a suburban environment. The sites are wooded and generally not on top of each other. Loop D has been remodeled and now has full hookups. We paid $50/night with a 2 night minimum. The one caveat is the plumbers didn't know how high to make the sewer hookups so on the uphill side (right side of the loop), the sewer hookups are too high and you can't really use them (gravity not available). There is a dump station on the way out. Evidently they are in the process of fixing that but they are not all fixed (64 was not). Loop D also does not have a bath house so if you have a smaller unit without a shower, you'll need to use the loop C bath house at the entrance to loop D. Having said that it's still a really nice park. Amenities for kids include a moon bounce type of thing, a pedal cart course and laser tag. The camp store is good. Wood is a little expensive. Closest metro is Shady Grove if you're thinking of using it as a base for seeing DC.

Nice facility near a large urban area. Sites are wooded. Some large open areas are available. Lots of activities and hiking trails are available. Some of the full hook-up sites in D loop have sewers that are unusable because they are too high aboue the ground.

| It has its ups and downs

First of all the site we were given D69 was very unlevel. We are full time RVers and have never come across a site anywhere near that bad at a campground. Other than that the campground is very nice, clean, and quiet. They do however seem to have a very strict check out time as someone knocked on our door 6 minutes after 11, then came by again shortly after as we were getting ready to pull out. We have never had someone basically chasing us out of a campground like that before.

My family stayed in May of 2019 in a 40' motorhome. FHU sites were nice. Lots of activities for the kids to do and tons of trails to hike.
