Reviews for Little Tallapoosa Park

| Awesome state park

Happy we picked this little gem to spend the night in! Brand new and beautiful. Wish we had more time to spend there. Has a brand new splash pad for the kids and georgous walking trails. Is about 45 minutes to Atlanta. And well worth being out of the traffic pulling a rig. Would highly recommend it!

I was amazed. I arrived without a reservation but I did call 30 minutes before I arrived. They took care of me and had a spot. Thank you for helping.

| Very impressive

This little park is very impressive. They are pumping a lot of money into this place. Put a new splash pad in this year and also a new equestrian campground. Also, expanded the boundary of the park and acquired another beautiful lake. There is a paved bike trail that is around 2 miles and several hiking/horse trails. This park is par with many of the better state parks. It's definitely a five star county park.

We happened across this public park and are extremely happy with our find. Lots of trees, nice paved sites and full hookups. Would highly recommend. Only downside is the sign at the road doesnt say anything about camping just that it is a park.

Very nice county park. Long, level sites with full hookups. Walking trails, lake, showers and restroom very clean. Nice country setting. Separate areas for RV's and tents. Carrollton not far away for all your shopping needs. Only down side, better have your own satellite TV, very limited air channels available. We would stay here again.

| Great campground

We have been here two months and camped on 4 different campsites. #3 and #4 are the best sites. They are spacious, shaded and very level. The pull through sites for smaller campers are extremely unlevel, I would not recommend any of them. The laundromat only has one washer and dryer, but there is a laundromat 10 minutes away. The staff were very helpful and accommodated is to the best of their ability. No complaints about this quiet, tucked away park.

| Wonderful campground!

We can't say enough about how great this park is! We were here for a week. It is very well maintained. Wooded, roomy sites, and great walking trails. They even have an equestrian section of the park. There is a waterpark and pricnic area. Good downtown area with good restaurants. We would definately stay here again!

Minutes off I-20, less than an hour from Atlanta. Friendly host and staff, we paid $30/night for back-in site. clean, level, paved sites with gravel side pad for picnic table, lots of shade trees, good water pressure (water a little rusty at first), quiet at night, dumpster across from check-in station.
