Perfect place to stay! As long as you pay attention to the deep sands, you can park your RV on the beach and have a great stay right on the lake. There's a dump station right after passing the crossbar, where you can also tap water. For the $10 a night, it's perfect even for long-term stays.

My family and I spent about 2 weeks here. Best time ever. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Highly recommend it. Great place for pets as well..

Lone Rock Beach camping

$10 a night or $5 with Senior Pass. Great views of Lake Powell. Park on top by the dumpster/dump station or head down to the beach camping. Just stay away from the soft, sandy areas on the dirt road down. No showers, water is available at the dump station. Will definitely return for a longer stay. Groceries available in Page.

Very quiet and peaceful location! A lot of lose sand so be careful with 2WD. Great view and the most beautiful sunset!

Beautiful dry camping

This is a boon docking dry camping area with no defined campsites (much like the BLM area at Quartzite). This area is managed by the National Park Service and accepts all of the different types of America the Beautiful passes - which waves the entry fee ($25 for 7 days) and cuts the daily camping fee in half (from $14 to $7). This $7/night fee makes this campground an excellent value for pass holders, however, without the pass the charge of $39 for one night is outrageous for what you get. The young lady at the fee station gave us no information or rules. We had to press her to find out no generators after 10pm and the beach by the lake may be soft and big rigs usually camp at the top area near the dump station which is hard dirt. We then drove to the end of the paved road and found numerous paths down to beach that appeared to be both rough and sandy so we decided to turn around and camp in a nice flat area one level down from the dump station which had a wonderful panoramic view of the lake and the mountains. The weather was gorgeous and we had a full moon which made for a great camping experience (we did not even start the generator). There were no other campers in our area. We feel that the experience would have been better if the NPS could maintain and mark a good road access to the beach. The beach area seemed to be for jet skis and ATVs.

Quad drivers make a lot of noise throughout the day.

Make an immediate left after you hit the sand road. You'll get to a gravel road that leads you safely down to the camping area.
We arrived at night and couldn't see the proper route to take, so we ended up getting stuck in the deep sand. Luckily a friendly pickup driver came to the rescue.
Plenty of room here, so you'll definitely find a spot. Payment happens at an automated booth.
