Beautiful county campground. We stayed for 5 days in a 5th wheel during the week and over the weekend. The weekend was full but the campground was still quiet because of the space between campers and of all the green space for kids to play. This was our first time here but won't be our last. We're visiting from Charleston SC and will definitely stay on our next visit. Didn't use bathrooms but went in them just to check them out. They are old but very clean. The kids have a nice playground.
friendly hosts. The RV sites are good size and most are all gravel. The park property is big with RV sites, campgrounds, day sites, softball fields, and of course the lake. Nice area near a neighborhood that has some shopping amenities. Only stayed for one night so this review is just for the RV site.
Nice and clean. A bit dated in rest rooms. Kids play ground. Sites are grassy and level, with two small loops. However it is very open, not tons of shade around the sites. The lake itself is nice, decent fishing. Fair prices boat rental, nice dock to feed giant carp. There is a swim beach and nice long paved trails. Very close to Kansas City so the zoo and downtown are a reasonable outing.
We come here with elderly family because it is close to home. Down side is the boat ramp is hard to get to. And there is no place to park your boat and have an easy walk back to your RV. But campsite is vary nice and clean all the time.
Great state park. Plenty of room to spread out. Great for kids to play and have a good time. Our dogs loved rolling in the grass. We were only there a couple of days visiting friends in the area. We will go back. Full hook ups. Reservations a must.
Beautiful park, large level lots, clean bathrooms and showers. Very friendly staff. Full hook ups. Just stayed overnight on our way back to Florida. Would love to spend several days there, it was so peaceful and relaxing. Extremely well maintained park.
We stayed 5/9 to 5/18 2019,very peaceful. stayed on east campground, only electric sites , but was all we needed, Full hook ups in west campground. Restrooms clean,back in sites all white rock none level but workable, pull thru sites are paved. senior discount over 62 BUT you have to ask.
