We had a great time, my wife was severely ill during this trip but enjoyed herself all the same she has since died due to her illness, but I will be back again!The park staff was excellent friendly the campground host was very helpful The view at night was breathtaking I look forward to my return journey to this wonderful state park hats off to the state of Arizona they did it right!

Selected this park because of close proximity to house so if we weren't prepared correctly it wouldn't be a big deal. This is a great park. Sites are not stacked on top of each other so more of a camping experience. This park offers fantastic scenery (Superstition Mtns.), many hiking trails (from easy to difficult), great sunsets, and great facilities. Showers and restrooms clean and located close-by to most sites, and different Ranger programs are offered pretty frequently. Weather was very pleasant, but it does cool off significantly at night. Keep your small pets close by as I had a well fed coyote cross the road and trot through our camp early one morning. Check out the Lost Dutchman Museum up the road a few miles. We also did the Gold Field Ghost Town which is more touristy.

Beautiful location at the base of the Superstition Mountains. Sites were level, quiet, and spread out. Bathrooms clean, showers hot. Recycling & garbage sites located throughout park & cleaned daily. Best part of the park are the numerous hiking trails, birds, coyote. Just 5 miles from grocery stores, fuel, laundry. Make reservations early.

We reserved a dry site online (59) and it was perfect - lovely sunshine, some levelling required, large and private. We loved this park so much we stayed another 2 weeks! Agree with glowing earlier reviews of this park. You must stay here if in the area!!

This park is a real gem, exceptionally clean, easy to navigate interior roads, spacious sites, trails that lead to the Superstition Mountains wilderness boundary, a nice mountain bike trail, helpful staff. Waking up each morning to the view of The Flatiron is a special treat.

This is a great campground. Beautiful views, Plenty of hiking trails and things to do around the campground. Check out the Lost Dutchman museum and the Goldfield Ghost town. The only problem I had was the bathrooms are far off and few inbetween. Like to take my morning dump at the campground bathroom instead of my trailer. Saves on the marriage and never did see a dumpster to throw trash in. I know they have them but did not see them. I did check the restrooms out and they were very clean. The camping spots are pretty well level and very nicely set up. We will be back.

A beautiful park, however, overflow is a tight parking lot @ $20. We cut our stay short and stayed at even prettier Tortilla Flats.

Apparently you need to book a year in advance. As in they are booking now (feb 2019) for next year. And they book up. So we are in overflow which is a parking lot. Crappy system. The park is really nice. For the main sites there. Seems to be a lot of privacy. Views are spectacular! The hike up Flat Iron is NOT a walk in the park! The first bit is. And then gets a bit tougher. By halfway the bouldering starts and the final 1/4 is some clambering and tough. But if you can do it the views from up top are absolutely awesome! Lots of really nice people enroute to help direct as there are a lot of side trails leading to nowhere.
