Friendly, clean with nice views but not for light sleepers.
By user-5838956... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed 4 nights; enjoyed the facilities and the reasonable price. Liked the internet signal and even swam in the pool. It was our launch base for our 2 day visit at the Kennedy Space Center (11 mins away). Our only warning is for the light sleepers who may wake up from the tooting trains.

We spent 3 days here. Nice fishing pier and pet area. Spots are tight but we didn't have any problem. Nice people at the office and a little store too.

Costs more than other local parks, but all Brevard County parks are like that. Spots are snug. Very shady. No RV spots directly overlook the lagoon, but several are close. Very scenic overall. Fills up quickly during winter holidays. Sewer in most spots, plus dump station.

Beautiful!
By user-4598415... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed here a week and loved it. The fishing off the pier was great, caught lots and lots of fish and a sting ray! The pool was warm but refreshing. Our neighbors were great. The dog park was also great, lots of room for the dog to run. This place is a true gem!!

O.k. for a short stay
By user-6581910... on 2017-10-23.
Staff was very friendly, site for our RV cheap, laundry room clean and large. Didn't use the sanitary rooms, so we can't say anything to this topic. Small, familiar campground, lovely squirrels everywhere, site was sandy but even and spacy, so that back-in was no problem. Only bad thing: at night you heard the train pass by very closely nearly every hour - every time it used its horn loudly three times. Sleeping at this campground isn't quite easy...

Great campground, perfect location for space coast activities and cheap for the area. Full review here: http://www.seeyasuburbia.com/2017/03/campground-review-manatee-hammock.html

Whim Park
By user-5898431... on 2017-10-23.
I read the reviews and booked on a whim from reading. I liked the shade and asphalt roads. Everything is sandy! No picnic table concrete pads. Pool was okay, there were three restrooms, one had two showers, one with a shower and third had two more. Bathrooms were a mess! Husband said his was gross. Dog park was fenced in. Right on the bay, now swimming tho. Pier for fishing. I would rate only a three!

We stayed there 3 nights. The campground was pretty much booked, but the sites were large and shady, so it didn't seem too crowded. Very close to the Kennedy Space Center. We watched the rocket launch right from the campground. Full hookups, clean, pet friendly and we paid for a 22' truck camper with full hookups about $26, wifi worked good.

New management issues
By user-5902642... on 2017-10-23.
Stayed 2017-04-09 to 2017-08-01
When we first came in here everyone was nice in front office as was the security team on overnights. As of June-July however they have been micro-managing campsites on somethings and others not until you say something do they even know it's happening. A lot of rule changes with new management, can't hang anything on trees(hammocks) or lights took away trash cans throughout park.. now you have to go all the way to the big bin out front and got rid of the security staff all to pinch a penny.. busy weekenders the new staff dont keep up with the nightly issues and do not monitor misuse of golf carts. Won't be back

Close to NASA!
By user-5230348... on 2018-03-14.
It is about a 15 minute drive from the space station. The facilities are nice and well-maintained, and they are recovering quickly from hurricane Irma.

Ok, depending on your site
By user-6054121... on 2018-05-17.
The good part is it's on the Indian River, across from NASA if there's a lanch, and close to the national seashore. They allow up to 180 day stay and have full hookups. The bad is unless you are close to the back of the park, there is a lot of road noise. There are also trains and planes close by. We were on site 101, and unfortunately it was so busy and noise because everyone exited past our site and we always heard Hwy 1 noise. Some sites, like ours, are very close together also. The first row along Hwy 1 would have been worse for noise. The entire park is the campground, so only a small area to walk, and road is so busy to walk on. Enchanted Forest is close by and a nice place to walk. We would not stay again.

The best!

Live this park. Full hookups. Most sites are pretty spacious. Lots of open space areas with picnic pavilion, huge dog park, fishing pier where manatees and dolphins often swim by. Great spot to catch the sunrise or watch a rocket launch! We saw 3! Fairly quiet campground except on the weekends sometimes when tent area fills up. Pool is clean and bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities are clean. Management is helpful and friendly but will enforce rules if you’re caught breaking them. Understandably. Love this place. We are definitely coming back next January and staying longer. People are super friendly. Pool is not heated but nice once it warmed up. Staff worked hard to accommodate us for a longer stay than anticipated. Had to move sites twice to accomplish that but that was better than having to leave the park. We stayed from January 14-February 24. Very pet friendly place! Love it here. Can’t say enough good things about it.

Wonderful Park!

This park is located on the water directly across from Kennedy Space Center, close to Cocoa Beach and 6 miles from shopping. The park is rebounding after the hurricane and a few sites are still unavailable but this park is well maintained and offers great amenities. Affordable for the area and I would recommend this park. They are Good Sam
