For $15.00 it's a better deal than a private campgrounds but only jonnhy on the spot. But nice view on ocean.
Spaces here are pretty tight, but there is enough room to get your slides out. If you are lucky enough to get a spot on the water, you have a great view of the water and can watch the boats, wildlife, etc. It rained when we camped here, so it was pretty muddy in spots. It took about 1 day for the ground to dry up once it quit raining. Our AT&T phones worked really well here, but the Verizon MiFi was spotty. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. Still, even though it had some negatives, this is a good place to camp if you are visiting Homer. Get here before noon if you want a spot in this campground as it’s pretty popular and only a few spots become available each day.
Very nice beachfront campground with picnic tables and fire rings. City park self pay $20/nt. Foggy view of the mountains. Saw kites flying from fishing poles, wind surfing, and kids riding horses on the beach. Easy drive to the Spit. Lots of charter boats available for halibut fishing.
