Sites are large. Middle of the park is great for kids to run and play. We have stayed there three times and will stay again

Old bathrooms but clean. Can get to water.trains but not that loud. Sites are big. Across the bridge 5 miles away in Rufus is a Gro. store and bar \ rest. good food.

Nicely manicured, clean park. Very nice and helpful hosts. Be advised it is very windy 90% of the time as evidenced by large windmills all over. Also noisy from truck traffic coming down the grade using jake brakes although seemed to quiet down after 11:00 pm.

| Nice spot on the river

We dropped through here for one night passing through. Pull-through site was a breeze though we did bag to level a bit. We were right next to the river. Access was simple and it was mostly empty.

| Nice tree covered facility along the Columbia River

Park not at all busy as staying in late December. Wonderful tree covered spots with views of the hillsides and the Columbia River. Like all locations along the gorge you will hear trains. In this location none are very close, so if you stay along the northern most camp spots you are closest to the trains running on the northern shore of the Columbia River. For the winter the bathrooms are closed due to freezing conditions. Port-a-potties are put out for use. The campsites have power and sewer and the water is shut off in the winter. I had bad luck in that my power post blue some major fuse and I had no electrical for my stay. I was settled and just did without. I see this is a possible problem due to the wind storm happening at the time of my stay, or bad luck. Not really the fault of the campground. If you wish to stay here during the spring, summer, fall be sure to make a reservation. Exceedingly popular location.

All RV and tent campsite restrooms closed because winter season or broken with closed signs on doors and locked.

Really nice State Park CG. Stayed in a waterfront pull through with E&S. Water was off for the winter and, unfortunately, so was the winter fill station. So NO water available. It was available at the dump station next door at Peach Beach RV Park for $5. State Park CG is very well maintained with a lot of back-in sites in addition to the pull throughs. Separate area for in-season tent camping. When the bathrooms are open (not now in the winter season) they have been nice and clean. Lot to do nearby at the Maryhill Museum and the winery. Only a few miles down I-84 to a bigger town. You will hear trains from the Oregon and Washington side, so be forewarned. We didn't find them overly annoying at night thoughg. I've stayed here before and will again. Highly recommended.

Great spot right next to river. Some people have mentioned trains. The trains are mostly on the OTHER side of the river and hardly bed shakingly loud! But if you re camped on northern edge of site near WA trains it might be an issue. They go quite slow so not too noisy. Many well shaded sites, spaciously laid out. a few nice things to do in the area and peaceful place to catch up with your reading.
