| Simple, clean park otw to Lafayette

By user-6487602... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2017-04-25 to 2017-04-25

Maxie's is a nice, friendly park on the way to Lafayette. The owner is kind and helpful; very easy to deal with. Prices are simple, they give a discount, and-like many parks-if they're not around when you arrive, there's envelopes for easy payment. Just be careful as you back-in. It's not hard, but the spots are narrow enough that a miscalculation could end you in a tree or knocking over the power/water box. If you call ahead, the owner will give you ample warning. Easy 50-amp, sewer, and water hookups. Altogther, no problems staying at Maxie's.

| Stayed in 39' fifth wheel late December over Christmas

By user-5331036... on 2017-10-23.

Very nice friendly and helpful owner. Older campgrounds. He is working on it. Be careful of the small picnic tables. Water, electric (good reliable solid 30 amp), and sewer included. Easy access from RT 90. A bit of a pain getting out if your headed north again as the highway is divided and requires a u turn or turn around on a side street to go back north. Noisey highway but it does settle down a bit late night. We paid $13 a night on RPI and he was agreeable to a longer stay. The highway doesn't bother us. It's groomed and clean. There is a nice laundry with big commercial washers for $3.50. Dryers are .25¢. The Louisiana state tax makes it $15.30 a night. Walmart and Starbucks are all a very short jaunt away. A little further is about everything that you might want or need. When we were here the Southbound 90 Exit to Walmart was closed for construction and requires a U turn. There is a movie theater and Starbucks accessable from the campground road. Sorry no WiFi but Verizon and Sprint work fine. We would definitely stay again for a few nights.
