Just stayed one night. This was our first time out in our camper and first time camping. This place made it easy nice large pull through. Very quit and its on base.
This has a lake, ball field, pet park, soccer field next to the camp ground. The commissary and exchange are a short drive. Quiet & grounds nice too.
Air Force Bases always have nice facilities. This was a small base, but it did not disappoint--- especially at $20 per night for full hook-ups and basic cable. The FamCamp was on the end of base, near a softball complex and a golf course. I was able to get a nice 15 mile bike ride in with little traffic. The sites were paved and spacious with interior gravel roads. There was a large pond (with kayak rentals) that had swings and was scenic. The PX and Commissary were nearby, as well. We love being able to stay at places such as this. This was definitely a nice overnighter for us.
We overnighted on 12/30 (I lived in this famcamp while attending command & staff college in the mid-nineties). All pads are concrete and somewhat level wIth full hookups. Old section (sites 1-48) all have small pavilions and picnic tables). Sites 1-6 are on the lake (boat/canoe/kayak rentals available). New section (sites 49-64) has picnic tables but no cover. Oldest bathhouse closest to office has shower stalls. Two new bathhouses have individual baths with shower/toilet/sink. All have laundry rooms.
